can someone clarify something on the hdd map updates...

Just bought a 6 month old UK e90.

Car was first registered june 2010.

Dealer says it has the latest maps (prof media hdd based).

Just want to be sure they arent lying to me - when was the last update released fro hdd prof nav?

Go to Navigation and check your map version... if it is 2010.1 then you have the latest one.

Thanks. Havent picked the car up yet, but it certainly said 2010 I thought.

Is it not a twice yearly thing like the dvd version?

So far it has not been the case, only 2009.1 and 2010.1 have been released that I know of.

Really, no 2011.1 by now? Rrgh.
2009.2 was out in Aug-Nov 2009, 2010.1 was out in late Dec 2009.
2009.1 had a corrupt database with large chunks of data missing; 2009.2 was the fix.
2010.1 was a makeover from the 2009 versions and version numbering changed.

2011? Maybe they are still figuring out what to do with HDD maps.

It is supposed to be out, but no P/N yet.
