Driveway clearance?
Hey guys. My leased e92 is coming in about 2 weeks. I have the oem aero lip being installed by the dealer as well. No plans for dropping the car.
My question is: my driveway is on an incline from the street. My current car (mazda6 with bodykit) and my dads car (2002 M5) have no trouble going in and out of the driveway without scraping so long as we're careful because it can be close. Should I have any problem with the new lip on my e92? It also has the sport package. Thanks. |

Two entrances at work. South is okay, north needs to be taken a 2 MPH or the bottom of the car scrapes. I also noticed when my car was flat bedded (bad fuel injector) that the lower edge of the front bumper was mm away from scraping the bed when being cabled onto it. I would very cautiously enter your driveway until you can verify that you have enough clearance. Also, if you go faster the suspension will compress when you enter the ramp.
I just put H&R sports on my car, so when I go back to work I will never be able to use the north entrance again. ![]() |
