Installed today...

Installed a set today.... About 3/8 drop so far.

Absolutely no change in ride..... Perfect...

Took about 30 minutes per side... VERY easy install...

Hopefully get full 1/2 when settles...

I'll post a picture after a few days to settle....

Actually it wont settle any more than after you drive a few feet since this lowers the body of the car and does not affecting the suspension at all.

Planning a suspension setup for the summer... Chicago roads SUCK, and though I'm very used to lowered stiff cars, this will be my daily. I don't mind a little stiffness, but it's gotta be able to soak up the bumps.

I'm thinking 19" rims with non-RFT's, paired with Eibach Prokits/OEM sport shocks, and these perches to get the front end on the tire like the rear would be.

I'm concerned about suspension travel... I know the Prokits are supposedly progressive, so nasty potholes should stiffen up when the suspension compresses, but is there any danger of bottoming out when combining these perches with mild (perhaps the mildest - Prokit) springs?

boostd92: The shocks will not bottom out if you install the perches. The perches actually lower the body of the car 1/2" and dont affect the suspension travel at all.

Uh .... Correct me here but that response concerns me. If you are lowering the body you are absolutely limiting travel of the shock (unless you are simultaneously lowering the lower shock mount as well).

If the spindle isn't moving and the body is, shock travel is decreased. If it's an upper spring perch moving the spring upwards, the shock nut is still secured to the upper shock mount that secures to the shock tower that is fixed. Because the shock rod is secured to the upper mount, If the body comes down, it's pushing the shock rod into the shock body by the same distance the car is lowered (0.5").

So aren't you in effect losing 0.5" of shock rod travel? Concerned on less stiff springs that you may be on the bump stops more often.

No you are not limiting the travel at all. The body of the car comes closer to the top of the top hat. YOu are not lowering the lower shock mount at all.

You dont lose any travel. The suspension is unaffected.

Thanks! I believe the Spring DIY should be enough of a reference to get you through it.
