Turn signal sound crapped out

I was driving home the other night and out of the blue the turn signal noise that my car usually makes stopped sounding off. Ever since then, the blinkers continue to function, as does the dash indicator lights, but the noise has completely stopped.

This doesn't sound like a huge issue, but between the way I have my steering wheel and seat set up, I can't see the actual indicator lights on the dash. Anyone run into this problem on an E90 330i? I keep finding reference to the E90 not having a mechanical blinker relay, but have no other indications as to what might be the problem.

Got the whole instrument cluster apart...turns out this piece of shit speaker is to blame:

Of course they are only available for sale to OEM's

I know this thread is old sauce, but I too have this issue. I have yet to find a thread where anyone posts a resolution. Has anyone resolved this?

Poster above you said his speaker was the root of the problem; you should be able to salvage the speaker from another cluster from a wrecked car or something along those lines. Not sure if there's a part number for just the speaker, as he said it's only for sale to OEMs.

oh, i figured the speaker is probably something soldered onto the cluster itself. I wonder if its actually removable. Hmmm...Ill have to research this.
