im sorry for asking all these noob questions, i just want to make sure i understand the jb4.

is the JB4 plug and play in stock and ready to ship for my 08 335i e93?

In stock and ready to ship!

You do need a laptop to upgrade the firmware on the JB4. Something as simple as a netbook will suffice.

do you need to keep taking off the necessary parts to uninstall the JB4 in order to update the JB4 via USB?

Once the USB cable is installed there is no need to open the ECU up to flash the new firmware or read codes. All done through the USB. Just route into the glovebox.

After looking things over I for sure want the JB4 with DCI's. I posted in one of your other threads before I even saw this one but does this system change at all being that I'm up a little higher than most people? I think I'm around 5500 feet.

For high altitude we recommend starting off with the autotuning map5 or map1.

New feature just introduced

I know its easy to do this mod manually but controlling the exhaust flapper electronically has been been one of the most requested additions to the JB4. I'm pleased to report that BMS has stepped up to the plate for us and figured out how to make it happen. It will be in the next firmware release.
