E90 to M3 or not?

Hello, all I'm looking into purchasing an m3 rear bumper for my 328i i will also get my exhaust converted to look the same as the m3 placed in the middle. I'm questioning whether I should go for that or just simply convert to a dual exhaust and get a performance rear diffuser what do you all suggest ?

If you have a 328i I suggest getting a dual exhaust. Just my 2 cents. You can see how people call 335s with quads M3 wanabes... With a 328 might be different lol, in a worse way haha.

no, either way for 328 or 335 it looks worse. The original M3 kit provides room for quad pipes, so if you want to look the deal then get quad pipes.

Having anything otherwise would just look odd

Can't wait to see what you decide. I have thought about getting dual exhaust on mine just not sure on the bumper yet.

there's a fine line between enhancing your vehicle aesthetically, and coming off as a poser.

i feel an m3 exhaust conversion on the 328 fits into the latter category. if you want to do a quad exhaust, keep the wider spacing. don't bring the pipes closer like the m3.

No quads. Even doubles is pushing it.

there's no denying that a symmetrical exhaust looks way better on the e9x

if you're going to do it, just don't go out of your way to imitate an M

I've come to a conclusion I'm going to go for the quad exhaust don't want to come off as a poser, plus I think the quad would look better, need to get my hands on a M-tech rear bumper now with a diffuser anyone know where I could find a good deal ?

IMO, only way to get away with quads on E90/E92 is on a 335i with Eisenmann. But whatever works, for you..

That's what I thought before "Tofu" got me thinking, It's actually very simple to go from a single exhaust to a quad, went to my mechanic with the idea and he told me to get hold of a bumper first or to get cutouts for the quad on my current bumper. The quads are solely for cosmetic purposes so yes my car's still going to be 328i just not going to look like one. I'm trying to get hold of an M-tech bumper now with the diffuser!

Now a 328 wants to look like an M3??Man now that is a lot of posing. This takes a ton of ignorance to drive that thing down the road but on the other hand you will get a ton of laughs if you are an aspiring comic!!!

most people don't even know the difference between a 328 and m3. they see the bmw logo and assume they're all pretty much in the same price range unless you have something quirky like a roadster.

I can get a really good deal locally on a M3 replica rear bumper for the e90, and I just hate the rear of my car have been wanting to do something since i bought the car. That's how the idea was born!! I've realized though that would be too much posing like you say, but would also look terrible on my car only a m3 can pull it off. I've decided to go for the quad exhaust, just need a M-tech bumper with a diffuser now and I'm all set!! I'll post pics once it's been done and you tell me if you think I'll get a ton of laughs

I know the difference the 328i is no where close to the m3, in terms of performance or price wise. I'm 18yrs old can't afford an m3 thought trying to make my 328i look like an m3 was a cool idea, but I've realized now though that's too much posing!!

in order to use diffusers, yeah you need the mtech bumper.

all of the frankenstein type diffusers for the stock bumper look really crappy. even the vorsteiner one that wraps around the entire bumper.

Yea that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure, thanks a lot you've been of great help, I've been looking for the M-tech bumper her in Toronto can't find it anywhere think I'm have to order it online which sucks because of shipping costs, but once I get that bumper I'm getting it put on right away and getting the quad exhaust! thanks once again
