DPF software is an additional £75 on top of the map price. If you think it is going to give you issues due to short trips then it may be worthwhile doing.

I have a Jan 2009 330d. Reading through the earlier replies am I right in thinking that a switch doesn't exist for this but a remap does?

The £75 offer is if its done at the same time. It would be £150 after as AD would have to do a similar process again.

1. Any update on timings for this please for an LCI (07/2010) E92 - 320D??

2. Also, the new motors seem to be factory tweaked and put out 135kw and 380nm standard. What does the Evolve tune push this to with the Steptronic Auto??

What would be the cost of the remap and what changes in bhp etc would I be likely to see?

Does this invalidate my BMW warranty?

No updates at the moment - we are busy working on getting the remote tunes available for the petrol cars at present.

We have never done one so I can't answer that yet.

The tuner protected ECU's are £499 inc VAT.

Gains would be 45 BHP and 70 lb.ft torque.

Any modification has the potential to void your BMW warranty.

Hello there!

I have the following question and problem and found your thread!

I have already remaped a 320d 2008 auto transmission from 177 to 220 hp and 440nm (superchips). The problem is simple...i just installed the new map and after several hours of driving i seem to have a problem (the problem was there from the beginning but just noticed how and when it occurs)

at about 60kph and 100kph i have something similar to clutch judder from a manual, there is a vibration in the car and feels as if it isn't reved enough! the problem usualy occurs both in D and DS. it only lasts for a second until that speed is surpassed. I seem to have replicated the issue when manually shifting and forcing a higher gear than usual at 60kph and 100 kph for example 6th at 100 kph. If i floor the acceleration in DS mode and when manually shifting the problems seems to disappear.

The sound of the vibration resembles a car passing over the exterior painted lanes from a motorway which are ment to wake up drivers who accidentally fall asleep, but not as brutal.

Can you please tell me what could the cause of this be?

Could this be too much torque? And if so is this going to ruin my transmission?

And most important, considering Evolve offers similar figures for this engine would a remap from you present me with the same issue...maybe this would be normal due to the increased torque, if not? how do you manage to get the same torque without this problem.

If you can offer me a solution i will return the bluefin and get myself the Evolve treatment...don't actually know why i didn't do it in the first place...

Thanks

I've read about that before.

I think it's too much torque, some companies will offer less torque to prevent it happening.

I'm surprised superchips have that problem, any map that causes vibration in the car like that can only be bad news.

Hello. What is the price for a switchable remap unit for my car, a 57 reg 320d (177 bhp)? Let me know the procedure and I'll make a purchase straight away.

They should be able to lower the torque slightly to remove this issue.

We have something else coming out very shortly for the R56 MINI but your 2011 model has a completely new ECU which is can not be tuned via the OBD port at the moment.

3 new maps later and now i still have the problem at 70kph in 3rd...this is unbelievable...haven't these guys tested the damn maps on auto gearboxes?

I know the question might be stupid but does it happen to you guys to get cars who behave like this?

Would Evolve be able to provide a map to fix this?

I didn't enjoy my Superchips remap on my auto 320d .... and returned it for a refund. I have had numerous maps from Superchips on many cars and loved them all - but not this one ! Their map didn't suit my auto box and driving ... and made downchanges fairly brutal ... though I did not have any vibration.

Their map felt superb - but the auto box didn't seem to like it. It has put me off remapping auto diesels - it seemed like just too much torque was at work and the box didn't like it.

Another tuner on another forum suggested that the box needs it's settings changing to accomodate the remap ... and that they had found said tuner hadn't done this - though it is easy for one tuner to slag another off on a forum ... something Superchips (or for that matter Evolve) don't get involved in !

But, as I say, FWIW though my problem was not like yours it is odd the auto box seems to dislike the map !!

I decided how to go about getting more power without issues - I sold the 320d and bought an LCI 330d auto

It should have the same ECU as the 2010 models which can be tuned via the switch box. If you can PM me the last 7 digits of the chassis number I can check.

Hi Imran

Can you confirm the current pricing for a 56 plate 335i as I've seen different figures floating about? Also, what are the chances of it getting wiped during a dealer service / upgrade?

Finally are there any deals coming up...?

Sorry for the usual questions!
