Non-body colour plastics

I realise that there aren't any on the E9x (nor are there any on my C63) but the wife's new Cashcow does have some. I'm sure detailing has moved on a little bit since I used to use shoe polish on my mk2 golf GTI, so what do I use to keep it black, shiny and well conditioned. Any recommendations guys?

The new plastics are pretty good at staying black just case when waxing to maskingtape them to avoid wax deposits as then you are in trouble.

As a long term I've used either Autoglym or TurtleWax Trim treatments but in end if you get wax on it your stuffed.

Hence IMO if the car is new most decent body shops will colour code for not much money. In past had my E46 and all Focus done and they always came out looking great.

M Sport rear valance/bumper has a chunk of grey plastic.

I think grey plastics are awful - they are the first thing to ruin the look of a car once it ages a bit. I remember spending ages trying to get the plastic to stop fading on my mk3 Golf. Never again - it's something that would stop me buying a car full stop. No need for it.

Back to Black worked okay at the time but after a month or so it went back to looking faded again.

I use AG Vinyl protector on the wifes mini - I'm happy with that.
