Stoptech Releases 335i Brake Kit

E92 335i Front- and Rear-Axle Upgrades
The turbocharged 335i has opened the books on a new era in BMW tuning. StopTech supports the amazing performance that is possible in these cars with ST-60 six-piston calipers and 355x32mm (14.0 x 1.26-in.) AeroRotors for the front axle. StopTech’s rear-axle upgrade includes ST-40 four-piston calipers and a lighter-weight 345x28mm (13.6 x 1.1-in.) AeroRotor to minimize unsprung and rotating mass. These systems work with 18-in. wheels.

The Front kit retails for just $3295 and the rear for $2595.

StopTech is the performance engineering and manufacturing division of Centric Parts. StopTech is the leader in Balanced Brake Upgrades for production cars and an original equipment supplier to leading automobile manufacturers. StopTech has three patents in basic brake technology and one other pending. StopTech’s product line includes Balanced Brake Upgrades for approximately 450 applications featuring StopTech’s own six-, four- and two-piston calipers, two-piece AeroRotor Direct Replacement Kits, braided stainless steel brake lines and slotted or drilled SportStop original-dimension rotors. StopTech also stocks a wide range of performance brake pads.

Damn, I was just gonna ping Matt Weiss for a status on these...so..they are exactly the same size as the OEM 335i brakes, right?. Anyone know the weight differences. I have had two sets of Stoptech big brake kits..so you done have to sell me on them...but at $3295 for front...yikes. My 355mm audi ones retailed for $2595...and I got them for much less since I was sponsored by a shop..but $3295 starting price?. Sorry but this just sounds like price gouging since it is a BMW. Please dont tell me there was a ton of R&D to justify that price..cause I wouldn't believe it.

The higher price on this kit is due to the 6 piston calipers used. The standard pricing on most 355mm 4 piston kits is $2595 while the 6 piston kits are usually around $3295 regardless of the application (Corvette, S4, 350Z, etc). We do not have plans to offer a 4 piston setup for the 335i because of its performance potential.

The weight of the stock front 348x30mm rotors is about 25 pounds each while our 2 peice 355x32mm parts are about 17 pounds each so there will be a noticeable weight reduction while still increasing overall heat capacity.

We aren't doing any new sponsorships at the moment, but if you a had a shop that helped you out with your Audi, maybe they will take care of you again...

Stoptech

We can help you out with any questions on Stoptech products we are a master distributor for the full product line.

Let me know a big brake kit makes a HUGE difference even on the well equipped 335i. I was amazed. Can't hurt either that they look great too!

Thanks,
