iDrive Zooms Levels Stuck at Same Scale

I'm a new owner of a 2008 BMW 328i coupe with iDrive Professional Navigation (CCC) update 2. I like to have the navigation split screen running with the 2/3 map at a larger scale than the 1/3 map. However, when I change the zoom of either map, they both change so the scales are always the same. Please help. Is this the way the system is designed to operate? How do I change it? My only other experience with iDrive was on a 2009 335xi. It allowed me to zoom however I wanted. Thanks for your help! jmbd7h3
