Check this out but go right to the end to get the answer.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=rubbers In my case it was the bit that sticks up from the door seals and was caused by the shampoo the Stealer used when washing the car |

I sorted mine by putting Carbaflo on the felt strip.
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-CYK100070 However any sort of lubricant may work. The important thing for me was to identify that the noise wasn't coming from the rubber seals but the felt strip. My car was so bad that i could barely drive it and now I spray on the Carbaflo once a month and it's sorted. |

Taken from another forum, not my solution
"Ignore the window and surrounding frame/seal - open the door and see the 'felt' seal at the inside top of the frame - this touches the black metal that runs the length of the roof......smear a small amount of vaseline or similar on the black metal where the felt touches...........sorted!!" They all seem to be as bad as each other. My Saab had the same problem. Although having said that I have never heard a squeak from my VW Touran door rubbers.

...and I've now got this on my car
after using some spray wax. How bloody annoying!Rather than bugger about with products I'm wondering if some washing up liquid (strips wax and degreases) on the affected areas might do the trick. :edit: After reading the link above it appears I may be on the right track.
