There just like budget airlines, they lure you in on a headline figure and whack you on things that should have been included at the outset!

The better insurance companies rarely feature on the comparo's either,I wonder why?
Without mods comparison sites work fine, and these days it often isn't cheaper to call instead, just buy at the comparison site direct as they get a bulk discount.

I tried the ' better' sites and they were way more expensive for me.

In the end I went with admiral, but trying them direct was 200 quid more!!

I'm 22, been driving since 17, 3 points for speeding, never had insurance in my own name but always been either a named driver or on a 'open policy' (which don't seem to exist anymore!)

My cheapest quote came in at £2500 ish. Added my girlfriend to the quote as a named driver with a provisional license cut £200 off the quote! (she didn't even have a provisional, but I bought her it since finding that out!)

My postcode is a bad one

Direct line who I've supposedly been earning 'named driver no claims' with for the past two years - well they were unable to quote me as the price exceeded £3k humm!
