First run with the N55 at the drag strip

2011 335i xDrive, Auto
Care is bone stock with RFTs.

My run is in the right lane. Left lane is a N54 E92 6MT with JB3 and DCI

Best Technique used: M1, brake torque to 2400 rpm, 1-2 @ redline, 2-3@6500rpm, 3-4@6K rpm

1/4 tank of 93.

There was also an N55 1er. The M5 ran a 13.2

Are trap speeds for the xdrive this low? My worst run of the night was a 14.0@96mph.

Looks like his 60' time WAS less than 2.0.

My best 60' of the night was a 1.959, but the trap speed is what sucked. Isn't it supposed to be 103-104?

My goal was to break into the 12's with just a tune, but now I don't know if that will be possible... we shall see.

Humidity, D/A, elevation.. All significantly affect E.T's and trap speeds.

Relative humidity was 58, how does this affect times/trap?

This was at Raceway Park in Englishtown NJ, which is pretty much at sea level.

relative humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air divided by the amount of water vapor the air can hold at the said temp.
The warmer the air, the more vapor it can hold.

Basically, a relative humidity of 58 means the air is holding more than 1/2 the amount of water that it could theoretically hold. Any amount of water in the air will slow you down. This is why I think cars out in California trap so high.

Now with that Tune, Xi really can put some decent power down.
