Some of you might know of this place - stir fry, "Grillaz in the Mist"

Usually weekends are very busy, but if you plan it early and call ahead you can get a sizable group in.

All you can eat - nice area to drive...just an idea.
If your paying, let me know!

bmwOperator...definitely keep up the sharing of info and suggestions. I don't see anything wrong with local weekly GTGs, just keep all of us posted with pics. At the end of the day we are all DC metro/mid-atlantic'ers

btw, is there ample parking at BD's??

The Mongolian Grill is in downtown Bethesda. three to four blocks away from the Bethesda Metro Station. Parking is going to be all over the place...Depending on how many we are, we might not be able to all park together. There is an outdoor one floor public parking lot right next to it, but I can't quite remember how big it is.

Yep... The only thing I think we could do if we were to do it, is park in an other public parking lot a few blocks away on the top floor, and then walk. We can lose some pounds at the same time! David is looking for ways to shave off lbs so it would be a good thing!!

actually it all depends on when you go to BD's. I can tell you that parking there on friday and saturday nights is horrible, the wait can be 1-2hrs for 2 people. Sundays that parking lot is about half to 3/4 empty. Any other day of the week in the evenings after 6 will also have enough room to accomodate quite a few cars.

I think that lot holds maybe 150+ cars? Just a guess..

Sundays are the best days to go ...usually no waits - there is call ahead seating, parking is good.

I'd advise against any meet going to BD's fridays or saturdays unless they are early in the day - after 4-5pm you can forget getting seats and only dream of parking somewhere close. - I don't know of any other parking around there, someone mentioned a garage down the street...If I came, doesn't matter to me, walk or no walk.

150+ seems a bit over to me for that lot...but what do you mean "if I came"...bmw0perat0r you're the one who came up with the idea, and we only plan on going if you pay!!!! That place isn't cheap....

I have a crazy schedule, can't commit to anything right now. - I'm not paying, that place isn't cheap!

Actually 15$ a head isn't expensive when (if like me) you don't eat out very often.

Yeah, 150+ cars might be overestimated, truth be told i haven't got a clue.

I'm in for a MD meet. I went to the NCC meet at On the Border in Rockville and most of the attendees were....us.

Nice to see you online again Rich.... you were missed during todays planning meet, and folks asked if you're comming to the bbq meet.

I like to see you there with your road bike and maybe we can have a leisurely spin out there.

I'm for a MD area meeting.
Rockville seems like a good location for MD, VA, and DC folks.

If Mongolian BBQ were the spot, there is a very open parking structure about 3 blocks up wisconsin ave next to my Acura dealer. There is always plenty of room and is actually where I took all my pics. Unfortunately, if it's tuesday or thurs nights I'm out. I have practice from 7-10 in VA
