Can any one who has done the upgrade on at E91 please confirm the location of the amplifier please?

It think it is mentioned in one of the posts on here that it goes in the space in the rear panel where the CD multiplayer goes.
Is this right?

I have any empty bracket here for the CD player,does this need to be swapped over to one of those available brackets as used with the factory fitted amps?

Ideas?

Ok sussed it out today and after checking out further got the amp in the same place as in a saloon - left hand side under the secondary panel in the boot space.

Had a problem with the passenger side cable loom being short by about 6 inches so had to extend the front door speaker wiring but got it in and working.
Ended up taking a total of about 6 hours to complete - had to sort out how to remove some of that trim without breaking anything.


I thought the system was going to sound very 'bright' and that I would have to run with reduced treble settings - not the case I still need to have 5 dialed in.
Bass is initially at 2 for now.
Is this what everyone with the kit installed has?

Overall sound has a massively improved and well worth doing in the end.
