E90 LCi rear LED lights on a pre LCI who's done it

I tried to fit some LCI rear lights to see if they work and most of them do. However there is a light out light on the dash and the indicator flashes fast. Most likely as it thinks the indicator light is blown as its a LED. Is there any way around this without coding, maybe with a resistor?

Has any one in the UK done this?

I am getting a LCI next week so will have the lights anyway but i want to see if it can be done on a pre LCI.

Ignore the poor light fitting, i did not bolt it down.

I've done it on a E92 but it did need coding.

I doubt any form of resistor would work as the car is not recognising the LED's and automatically thinks you have a blown bulb/fault.
You need to get a independent garage with Autologic to disable the bulb check, no biggy.

72.00 inc VAT, this also included coding in the w/mirrors to fold from the fob.

I had mine done locally to me - Redhill, Surrey, so it wouldn't make sense for you to drive all the way down here.

Find an good independent BMW garage with Autologic local to you.

Chris is in Northampton and has found somewhere, I'm not sure if he's near you, but it might be worth having a word with him >>

Ring wing lights were 130.40 each, inc (E92 but not M3! )
Boot lights were 110.36 each, inc

It will come as no surpise to note that www.bmminiparts were the source

I fitted them myself, if you can fit 'Edition grills', fitting the rear lights will present you with no problems

The lighting harness came from Tom @ EAS, if you're asking who fitted my lights, I'd recommend you buy the harness, Auto electrics is not my bag at all

Coding, see response to G-10 above.
