Question New Brake Pads all round ??

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the price to get some new pads fitted all round on my E90 330d, from a decent indy garage .......... what would be the average price for when I phone around tomorrow really ?

Also, I may need a new rear disc ?

Cheers

Have been quoted 370 all in, and all BMW parts .......... is that an average kind of cost, or should I shop elsewhere?

For pads all round?

Thats a lot. Do you want OE BMW pads or better performance or just adequate?

You can get a set of standard pads for 100 all round with sensors from places like eurocarparts, shouldn't be more than 1 hour (50) to get them all fitted at an indy.

You can get a good set of track day / high performance pads for well under 200

Brakes International for oem spec pads and discs.

If rears gone you need two, always change out the pair if they are well used.

If I was doing the job myself I think I would try and obtain some OE pads, maybe worth looking on eBay! Not a fan of aftermarket (e90 approved) pads due to excessive noise and brake dust these often produce....

As above, depends what you want them to do. If it's just a direct OE replacement for normal driving, any motor factor should be able to source parts for substantially less than that quote. No need to take it to BMW for something as simple as brakes - any garage will do them for you, probably a max of 2 hours' labour if they're feeling greedy.

cost was 592 total for 4 new sets of pads, 2 new front discs, and reskimmed rear discs, (160 labour and 98 VAT inclusive).

A little bit more than I thought to be honest
