None of the work has been done by Coopers, I only bought it there (after they refused to transfer it to Cambridge). All the AUC work was carried out by Elms BMW.

Not sure of UK law, but can you not 'lemon' this car, as it is not fit for the reason it was purchased?

Coopers should give you a full refund, or supply you with a replacement car.

EDIT

Just seen your other thread with regards to the above!!

In that case find yourself a good indy to get the non warranty stuff fixed.

That should save you at least 75%.

Update! Car is now fixed by Elms, although not after a total fiasco courtesy of Avis and BMW Insurance. Poor giel on service desk did everything she could, which involved her running me into cambridge to the Avis centre because they wouldnt deliver before 4pm, and then they told me they dont have any cars, so the poor girl sent two cars back out, and then offered to do the brake fluid and microfilter change for 140 with an additional 10% off.

So big thumbs up for Elms today, total kick in the bollocks for anyone working at Avis.
