Weird Electrical Problem

I have a weird problem with my 2007 335i. I can lock the doors to the car with the remote, but not open the doors with the remote. I tried the second remote to see if it was a problem with the remote, but the second one did the same thing. In addition to this, the memory function on the seats does not work now. You can still move the seats, but no memory function. Any ideas?

Could be your original battery is fading. Lots of weird gremlins come out when the battery becomes marginal.

There are batteries in each of the key fobs. I replace mint last year (I have a 2007). That would be a cheap way to see if it fixes the remote issue. The ones I put in mine were Energizer CR2032. I have comfort access. There are multiple threads out there on how to open up the remote and get to the battery.

Just FYI - Batteries are not replacable in cars that do NOT have Comfort Access. It is a rechargable capacitor that gets charged when it is inserted in the dash.
