I said 300 at the most, I still wouldn't buy it. I still think it looks good b/c they are the only ones with nice oil lines, not rubber ones held on with worm gear hose clamps. Oil catch cans are universal, you can buy one on ebay that achieves the same purpose but honestly there isn't enough oil going through the intake to make it worth buying one. I took my intercooler off not that long ago b/c of my wreck and there was the slightest film of oil that isn't harming anything.

Each on of those fittings is in the $25-30 range (retail) and the line is $5-$7/ft and complete overkill for the application. They could have cut their costs by at least $100 by using normal lines, barbs, and hose clamps which are perfectly acceptable for a catch can. I wonder if they'll sell the fittings for attaching to the oem pcv ports. That would be the only thing I'd be interested in. $500 is phucken ridiculous.

Im with dzenno, I need to see hard data that will withstand the highboost pressures of upgraded turbos. I have been reading his thread and its depressing...all of that hard work to modify my the pcv behind the engine and now I have to take out my ar occ...that sucks. HPF, provide data that "cures" the high crankcase pressures seen in upped turbos and you will sell them to all of the guys with upgraded turbos and those that plan to. Im am interested to see your test cars crankcase pressures since you will indeed be running more boost on your single that our upped twins.

I think at this point, HPF doesn't give two 5hits about our comments....they haven't replied nor defended their newly released OCC.

They probably think that there's always going to be people disagreeing on their price points. But some will definitely buy it, and I bet that's just it........

It's just sad when vendors release a new product and provides NO data to back anything up. On top of that, ridiculous pricing? I mean, this tactic would have worked better had they come up with a useful product that nobody else had and sell it at a premium. Not the case here, OCC has been out for ages, and there's also been discussions on their efficiencies.

At the price points HPF sells their product, we need not worry anymore about paying the BMW tax for our parts. It's becoming more like the HPF tax...

I would expect them to at least pop in a announce that they will be providing data shortly but nothing. This makes you wonder about the pricing on all of their other products...

I think all this PCV paranoia started when Shiv "suggested" the OCC is causing misfires. I run a BSH OCC, and others have run the purported inferior RR OCC without misfires or any other issues.

The cause of those misfires were the damn tune. What happened when I switched out the Procede? No misfire no issues.

Don't worry dzenno, you're not alone. You can join the scores of people who swapped out plugs, coils and injectors trying to fix something that wasn't broke to begin with.

IMO the HPF OCC has some sexy components. Is it worth the price? Probably worth it about as much as those $2k SuperSprint downpipes.

Maybe you're missing the underlying point with current on the market OCC's...What none of us want them for now, is their restrictiveness on crankcase pressures. We want to keep the crankcase in vacuum for the extra hp and the easier rotating of internals that accompany vacuum in the crankcase. Misfiring is not even a thought in the equation anymore.

I discovered one more engineering failure about this "exclusive & high tech" OCC.

The outgoing hose from CV#2 is pointing upwards instead of pointing downwards. This will result in oil dripping back to the crankcase.
Trust me, I've tried it...

The stock PCV is designed for having a natural flow through the whole system and that is definitely something you should have in mind when you're designing a OCC.
The OCC it self should also be placed at the lowest spot in the system, just to keep the natural flow working 100%.
