Ordering a 330 today... Advice?
I'm new to e90post.com...
I'm headed to a local dealer today to order a 330i, pp, sp, cwp, 6-speed, power rear shade, black on terra. This will be my third BMW, previously owned an e32 740 and currently have a 2000 e39 (which, BTW, is for sale :- ). Something about these cars just gets into your blood. I drove a 330i sport this summer at the BMW sponsored Ultimate Test Drive event. Compared to the G35 and A4, the 330 was hands down superior. Have been thinking about getting one ever since. Much thanks to my account who encouraged me (in the company of my wife) to make the move now for tax purposes. (What a guy!) I am going to have my 3 built. Can you guys offer any advice on options I should include? Any input on the car itself? Thanks! I am looking forward to future chats with the group. Rich |

With Premium and Sport packages, you likely have just about everything you could want already on the car... I have a 323i on order here in Canada, but if I could get a hire up model I would definately get the "Comfort Access" option (may already be on PP?).
Get a second set of winter rims and tires from your dealer... would also consider the 3M protective film for the front of the car. |

You should be fine with all the packages but I would invest in navigation if its something you will use. Plus, it adds much more to the car..

Congrats on your impending purchase! Check out this poll on packages maybe it'll give you an idea of what peopl here like
. http://www.e90post.com/forums/poll.p...ults&pollid=37 I agree with the advice above that if you can afford it, getting both Premium and Sport Package will take care of most everything Do you like gizmos and electronics? If so, get the iDrive. I didn't but now wish I did. Most here who have it give it a thumbs up Let us know how it goes. Also check out these New Car Ordering forum and the BMW Dealers forum, maybe these forums will have info to help you out today. If money is not an object then take everything.
Otherwise I think adaptive lights and bluetooth are really nice features. If you not the one who drives the car, memory seats are good choice too. Hey, don't sweat too much, even at base it is hell of the car!

Your considering all the important packages which is good. As long as you have premium and sport package you should be pretty satisfied. Black and terra would make a beautifull combo, post pics when you pick her up. Good luck and when you get her enjoy.

Deck spoiler???
I know this is just an aesthetic thing, but what do you guys think of the rear deck spoiler for the 330? I can’t find a good pic of it to reference.

The only other thing I'd suggest is Comfort Access. It basically means you will never get the fob out to enter/drive the car. Plus, as I understand it (my 325i won't be here for another 2-3 weeks), if you rest your finger on the ridges of the door handle you can close the sunroof and windows while locking the car. Neat stuff, and only $455 invoice.
You're lucky you have a Bimmer to drive while you wait for the new one, every time I get in my Honda I die a little inside. |

I agree with everyone. If you are getting 330 with ZPP and ZSP..you are in good shape. I got the rear deck spoiler...check out my garage for pics. <--------
I like my Nav...if you like toys with your toys...its a must. If you are not gadget crazy..then maybe you can pass. Best of luck

seems like you are progressing downward on the model line; from a 7 to a 5 and now to a 3...but guess what, i will be doing the same soon, in a similiar manner..from a GS430 to a 330i...i think the e90 is the best money can buy in its class..good luck on your order!

7,5,3...
Isn’t that odd??? The 7 was fantastic until it came to repairs. I always likened it to a beautiful woman. When she was happy, the ride was great, but when there were problems it cost me big bucks to get back on her good side! The 5 has been one of the favorite cars I’ve ever owned (aside from an RX-7 many years back). This 330 is something though… I drove it this summer at a BMW event side by side with the G35 and Audi Quattro. Really excited… my car is awaiting shipment to the states. If I am lucky it will be here before Christmas.
Keep me posted on your new three. If you’re selling the GS430 on your own I had great luck with autotrader.com. Had one offer within two days that fell through and a second offer 5 days later, which I just closed on today. Good Luck!
