Bouldering; who does it? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I have very recently started bouldering, mostly outside and was wondering if any of you peeps were into it and had any recommendations on areas to go.

I'm a pretty big bouldering fan, but I must admit I've only ever climbed indoors (mainly because I got into last winter). I don't know about Colorado, but I know down in Soutern Utah there are some great spots.

There are a few spots that I know about and have checked out but was looking for more. You can never have enough. I am going to check out a gym that you can pay each time you go without being locked in with a contract. That sounds good for rainy days.

Id be down to try this. I never have though. I have done rock gyms before and that is a blast. I also seen some people doing this stuff down at Garden of the Gods when I was there last year. Looked pretty cool. Let me know when you want to go bro.

Otherwise I'll head over to Matthew Winters to dork around for a bit. I got a crash pad and a chalk bag over the weekend too.
All I need is a day or two notice to get out there. Where would you be coming from? Any preference as to weekend or weekday?

Mt. FlagStaff: all over the place, just drive up it and you will see...
Eldo (Eldorado Canyon): has bouldering all over too, too many to describe, use link above or Google. It has a $5 entry fee or so as it's a state park.

All over, but Lumpy Ridge, north of Estes Park, besides its obvious climbs, also has a lot of bouldering opportunities if you just go for a hike.

I have stumbled upon mountain project recently and it offers some great info and tons of climbs. All that is missing is good directions to certain spots!

I used to go to "The Spot" in Boulder quite a bit, tons of fun there. Haven't been in quite a while though

Just came from this place http://www.climbthebest.com/hours.php and it was $7.50 to climb. A little crowded, but some good problems for sure. If anyone wants to try it, Mondays and Wednesdays it's 7.50 and they have shoes to rent.

If we had places to do it I would do it more, when I lived in Seattle I did it multiple times a week, along with climbing

Also, my rec center has a pretty nice rock wall that I see people using allot. You can rent harnesses for a buck. This might be an option too somedays.

I live downtown by Coors field but work up in Boulder. I already have plans next Monday, going to be hitting some golf balls finally, and Wednesday is out too. The following Wednesday will work though. Not to mention, it's only 15 bucks regularly, so not like a bank breaker to go any other day
