Nope, i asked about that too - apparently if they find out you're using your NCB on another vehicle they will invalidate your policy. This is what makes me think that there's LOADS of people out there doing this without any idea that it's not allowed.

http://www.gocompare.com/car-insuran...and-discounts/

Also it's clearly not a new policy, this thread is from back in 2002

I literally had no idea that this was this case! I thought NCB was tied to your name not the car - in hindsight maybe i'm just naive. It never comes up in the search engines and i've never seen a warning where it tells you before getting a quote

Left me feeling pissed off and annoyed that I now have to keep using my bimmer as the daily driver and for business use because I can't afford the insurance on a second car.

I mean £650 for a 0.9L Smart fortwo
I have 3 cars on an Admiral Multicar policy and if you ask them to mirror you NCB across the cars they will. I have had this done for me for 7 years now.

Super pissed off today

Not only did my car fail it's MOT because of a bust front shock absorber - it was supposedly going to last another 6 months when I had a vehicle check done 4 weeks ago - but some fucking turd burglar has gone and hit my car and done a runner

It's in fucking epic condition for it's age, or at least used to be

Why are people such arseholes and why the fuck didn't my rear dashcam pick it up. You can even see the handprint from where they got out to check the damage they'd done and given it a wipe.

And why did all this happen today after I just spent money on presents and airfare to see my relatives

Alright gents, it's time to have a rant about the dreaded water pump and BMW cooling systems in general. I barely hit 100k last month and now my radiator fan has been running all the time is louder than anything on the road. I'm serious. When my radiator fan is running in a parking structure, you can hear it a mile away.
BMW's cooling systems have been their achellies heel for quite some time now, but even new Mini's with BMW engines are plagued with cooling system problems.
In the long run $800 for maintaining the car isn't so bad because I love my E91 so damn much.
But damn! $1000 could have gotten me a Performance exhaust

And I literally just walked past my car and noticed someone has stolen the tow bar cover from my rear bumper. What the actual fuck. Argghhhh

I hate the fact that we have gems of an engine in the N54 but the stock e90 335i is quite ugly IMHO. Sure you can buy bumpers and drop it, but to me, there's no way they thought of making a TT inline 6 and didn't think "sporty". If the competition is the S4 and G35, why does the outside not stack up to competition?? I understand mass market, but the mass market would attract to the 328. But in hindsight, I'd rather have an ugly car with a beast engine, than sporty car with a sh*t engine. Guess I'm just tired of swapping frustrating body panels lol *end rant*

A little sprinkling of snow brings traffic chaos to kent.
So 1-2 inches of snow fell in kent between 6-9pm yesterday & traffic on every major road grinds to halt.
The M2, A2, M20, A229, A249, Thanet way & most minor routes all with miles of stationary traffic with reports on social media of people being stuck in there cars for 4 or more hours.

Fortunately for me I had done all my travelling by 3pm & was tucked up indoors watching the snow fall

My rant....

In the summer, I put down laminate flooring, new skirting board, filled in corners, sanded them down - painted skirting - it looks pretty good considering I normally hate DIY

BUT

I wish I put down some sort of underfloor heating!!!!! Last couple of days/weeks the floor has been so f*ck*ng cold!!

My sister in law....she mentioned that she was looking to change her car a few weeks ago, she tells me today that she bought a bmw at the weekend, ok I say thinking to myself why didn't she talk to me before buying it & ask her what she's bought, a 2011 X118d in White with black leather she says & then tells me she paid 13k for it & bought it from Big Motoring World of all the places
She could have got one from a main dealer for that money & worst of all there's now a diesel bmw owner in the family

Dam!

Also been hit myself when I was parked up. Can't be sure where it happened because due to the rain it was well hidden. Only when it dried did I notice the new marks.

It's down into the paint in some bits so a buff with some scratch compound stuff probably wont remove all of it. I do have a little bit of touch up paint. I don't want to get into anything like re-applying clear coat.

Plan to try and polish it our once the weather is dry.

The neighbors cat needs to be shot dead. Usually park in garage. Left it on drive for the night. CCTV shows this little shit sliding off the bonnet in the rain! Deep claw scratches all over the bonnet. The type your nail catches and gets stuck! No apologies from neighbor.

Fukin cats.
A new neighbours moved in & I saw there cat in my garden trying to catch my fish, I managed to sneak out & give it a squirt with the hosepipe. Then when I went into my garage it smelt of cats piss, the little fuker pissed up the rear wheel of the car.
I may inject some antifreeze into a chicken breast & leave it out for the cat

Not the cats fault. You might want to take aim at your neighbours though!

Tesco scan as you shop, as if the weekly rigour of doing the food shop wasn't bad enough but now I have to listen to the constant beep beeping of people scanning their shopping as they go. GRRRRR

I don't mind it so much except for whenever I've used that, I get to the till and it never fucking works. I always have to wait for someone to come and "randomly check" every item and rescan it anyway so what's the bloody point in it in the first place?!

Doing final clearing of my late grandparents house this afternoon as the sale completed on Friday and one of the covering boards to the garages inspection pit gives way as Im stood taking to my dad on it so I end up in a crumpled heap on the floor with my left leg down on the abyss up to my hip. Nice and bruised just know i will be on the pain bus in the morning.

Anyone else hate the revamped BMW used approved site? It was bad enough that you couldn?t search by options such as surround view but now you can?t even search by head up display. Even Mercedes have a key word search feature. Get it together BMW!

When a wood pigeon plays HariKari with the front of the BM goes through the bottom grille only for you to stop have a look, get the pigeon out and if flies off fine and you find out the parts not expensive but depending on how the fixings on the bumper are it?s either a 3min job or a 2hr job and it can?t be done on a sat
