2. randomquickness 3. CV335 4. Srim3 5. There's cars and coffee in Leander that day from 10am and I will be there. Anyone planning on going to that event too? There should be other bimmers who might want to join the lunch & drive. |

Here is the website for cars and Coffee http://austin.carsandcoffee.info/
It's at 200 W Willis St, Leander TX 78641 BMWs have a dedicated parking space. When you get there you will be directed to the spot. The time is from 10 instead of 11am. |

Hey people, long time no talk.
Been busy with work so sorry I haven't been around, I'm sure everyone missed me. If you didn't, you're lying! Looks like my hpfp/spark plugs or something of the sort will have to be replaced. Engine turns over several times before coming on, sometimes I get rough idle that throws me into limp mode. I have it scheduled for service on Tuesday, blah we shall see. Anyways, hope everyone is doing well! |

Quote:
Took car in on Wed. of this week to have a faulty steering position sensor replaced (throwing codes, lighting up "don't drive" light occasionally), with it scheduled to be back either same day or next. Got '10 E90 6A as a loaner...nice car. Got call Wed. afternoon that part was delayed, but car would be ready Thurs. afternoon, as the replacement of the part required re-programming of stock SW and then re-flashing Dinan S2 SW. Call came in on Thurs. aftenoon with everything ready, all programming done. Got to the dealership and discovered - after asking specifically - that the Dinan S2 reflash had not been done. Turned back around inthe loaner and headed home (through the rain again). Finally got car at 11AM on Friday - all set to go with Dinan Reflash completed. After leaving dealership, I discovered all of my personal profile programming had not been saved and restored - all the optional settings, including radio programming (AM/FM and Satellite) and phone pairing had been destroyed. All that said, I can't complain too loudly because other than one extra trip to retrieve the car, everything was no-charge. This is the only time in 3 years that the local dealer has screwed up a voluntary visit, mainly because the SA failed to make a notation on the service order to re-flash the Dinan SW after completing the documented BMW procedures. It would have been easier to understand had I not had three conversations with the SA about that very subject before I came to pick it up. Moral of the story here - insist that everything you want done gets typed into the SA's computer and is noted on the work order such that you can read it clearly.

Bah, just move the meet to Texas A&M. They're having one of their open autocross practices this weekend. It'll give everyone a chance to DRIVE their car instead of LOOKING at their car
(Usually two tracks on their air strip. Somewhere around $15-20 for as many runs as you can fit into a day. Usually very little wait between the time you end one run and the time you can start another (1-2 minutes if there are other cars waiting)) |

Maybe next time...this one's pretty well set, and A&M is a fur piece down the road. I'll be at the Salt Lick at 1PM on Sunday...

Most likely.
It's still on for this Sunday, just checked weather and it'll be upper 90s and zero chance of precipitation.

Sup fellas!! Hope everyones been good!! My bud Ky (Green Supra) had ordered me a set of Brisk Racing Plugs but I sold the bimmer before picking them up.. He'll be at the 512 meet, so if anyone wants to pick them up, I've heard they are tha shiz! The set he has is made specifically for 135/335 applications.. They are meant for high boost applications guaranteed not to blow out.. If you're running stock boost, don't waste your money, you will not benefit at all, pretty much overkill.. Let me know or hit Ky up, I can PM his # if anyone is interested.. $100 takes 'em
