Anyone else in Boston on the Maersk Wind?

I guess I will have to call my CA tomorrow to see if he knows anything about this March 1 delay? (I guess I dont mind, this will help solve my winter/summer tire debocle...)

Man, I'm really bummed about this delay in Charleston that you guys are talking about. My ship (Western Highway) is supposed to be there tomorrow. Since I can't seem to track it on the Wallenius Whatever web site, I'm guessing it's a K-line ship or coming over on "Joe's Transport Service, Inc." or whatever.

OT: A friend of mine (who's already got his car last year) said that his CA told him that part of what they do at the VPC is change the oil. I had never heard that before, and it sounds like B.S. to me. Anyone know if that's true or not?

For those of us pulling into GA today on the Maersk Wind....Bust up a Google Earth of that port...You'll see about 43.8 Million cars there, and I'm barely exaggerating....there is zippy chance we get our cars inside 7 days. Granted it's an old sat shot but still it represents how much inventory rolls through that friggan ridiculously massive parking lot. Think 150 car max's side by side by side, or another way, if you saw 300, think the bad guys....each dudes a car.......

I'm supposed to be on the Liberty, but I get to ride down to Charleston town before I get off. Are you getting off in NY?

I noticed that the WWL site has slipped the departure from NY by a day but is still predicting Charleston on the 19th. Hope this "rumored" backup at the VPC doesn't slow things down too much. My CA said he would not be able to give me an ETA until my car actually got to the VPC.

Guess who's car is in transit as of this morning I will probably make a quick stop by the dealer this afternoon just in case its there, should only take 4-5 hours to get to my dealer by truck. Don't trust my CA to tell me if its their right away.

I'm on the Emden too and can't find anything about it on here. I stopped at my dealer earlier 2day and my CA gave me a printout of his tracking. According to that the Emden docked 2day, 1 day late i think, and the cars are on a train to the VPC an due to arrive there tomorrow. Hopefully we can get our cars next week.

"Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. There is no shipping information available at this time."

WTF? I know I was on the Maersk Wind, and that it docked in NJ on the 11th. I couldn't possibly be less patient!!!

I'm picking up my Emden shipped 335 in SC at the Performance Delivery Center on Thursday. I imagine everyone on the East Coast will be getting a call very very soon informing you that you can pick up your car in the coming week.

I hv heard nothing else from my dealer; he told me he would let me know when the VIN #s are released that are going first whether mine was on it or not; guess that means they are still waiting to hear from Brunswick...ugh

Well I got my car this evening. I actually pulled into the BMW lot as they were unloading it!! a few hours later I was driving it home. They pulled a few strings to get it through processing as quick as possible. Didn't even have them clean it and all the plastic was left inside. I just wanted it as I am leaving for NY. I would post a picture but maybe tomorrow. Hope everyone gets their cars soon!

My dealer told me once he got the VIN # list of those priority 1 vehicles that would be released first he would let me know if I was in the first list; you might want to get your dealer to ck on this list as well...We'll at least know if we will hv to wait til Mar 1 or possibly get ours with first release...
