Yeah Copart can go really bad, I bought a C6 corvette from Miami that looked like a pretty easy fix, when I got to UT, it was a total insurance fraud. The pictures showed it with the motor in place but turned out to be a truck motor that was just set in place to look like it was installed, it actually still had the truck front pulley it and the steering rack in unbolted the let in sit in place. Someone obviously had a built motor they wanted to keep you could smell the e85 in the gas line line, harnesses cut brake lines cuts quick hack job to get it passed a insurance adjuster. 🙄I’ll never buy another car from them that I can’t personally inspect.

Copart is a border line circus haha
Insurance scams, misrepresented cars, false information in the listings, drivers bang up cars in the yard and give vehicles more damage, car flipping, and a thousand other sketchy things.
Saw a 335is the other day with an n52 engine

Deliveries is another sketchy area too. “Oh that dent was there when I picked it up”.

Well it’s cleaning up pretty good got the steering rack replaced and found a black 4 door 06 and got a perfect rocker panel cover. Going back and cut some sheet metal in the lifting area and have it properly welded in place and fixed, wasn’t going to worrie about it but it’s in such nice shape I thought I should do it right.

Cradle dropped to do the steering rack. No leaks anywhere oil pan and valve cover super dry. The steering rack was cracked system was dry it all works with no leaks but a steering pump is probably in it’s future. Need to figure out the 4x4 light it throws after 10 minutes of driving, wheel speed sensor maybe?

Awesome work and clean-up!
Did you power wash the interior?

That engine bottom looks very clean! If you still have the subframe dropped, replace the water pump and thermostat and their hoses, so you don't do have to fight with access later.

ST are a good basic coilover (same as KW V1, but no stainless steel body on the front shocks). I think you'll be happy with them on the track.

Oh and the rear hatch cargo cover is probably worth more than the car.

My friend that has a BMW performance shop was letting me use one of his lifts on the weekend so I had to get it in and out quick. Good to know on the STs, it seems to handle pretty well, I’ll make some laps in it as soon as I have some summer wheels and tires, it actually came with brand new Blizaks and winter is pretty much here. For the track I need to concentrate on the ST1 car as NASA nationals are coming back to next season!
