Seriously, the 535i about the same $$$ as the M3 Sedan.... What is wrong with you??? Get the damn M3 Sedan. By the time your daughter cares about legroom, it will be 2 generations of cars away.

Live in your 20's, you have the rest of life to get old and drive a 5 or 7 series..... Don't let your damn wife dictate what you should drive.... You know what you want, now go get it. Don't dick around with a floaty 5 series.

The choice is in front of you, restore your manhood & drive the car you want or remain a whipped wuss who drive a car you don't want.

BTW, there is no hope for you if your wife insists on reading the board "with" you.....

Five series handling is awesome for a full fledged 4 door sedan. Looks are OK when compared to Infinitis, Lexus & MBs. Not matter what people say around here, 5ers definitely need a little refinement in the styling department, but in comfort and commodities they've got them all.

Concerning the choice you've got to make, you only live your life once. I'd say shoot for the sky, go for the ///M3! Go for the ///M3 sedan!! Do it, while you're young and your family is too.

You'll have plenty of time down the road to drive those grown up and comfortable cars.

I showed my wife the post once. She doesn't regular the board. I still have hope.

I've placed my daughter in and out of her car seat in the last few weeks and entering and exiting the rear seat is a pain in the a$$. It isn't about the leg room for her, it is about the convenience for my wife and I. I don't take any risk in my daughters life so she is placed in the middle of the back seat. Plus, once her stroller is in the trunk I'm lucky to get some space for other bags.

I guess I should also add that she drives the car 80% of the time. When I go and visit rig sites/manufacturing plants for work I take my Xterra. I have now figured the M3 would be wasted on her. Plus, it isn't cool taking out a rig foreman for lunch in my 3 because they track so much shit inside. I save that for engineers.

My manhood? Man, by the tone in your post I profile you as a early 20 something with no wife and kids (Some days I wish I could be you). Trust me, I was you when I was that age; I ran a restaurant and did things I regret now (womanizer). Now I'm 28, I have my house, run a business on top of working a full time job, and have a very beautiful family which I can say is a good measure of what I have accomplished so far in life.

This was simply for input about two cars. Yea, the M3 is the shit, I'll give it that. The 535i won't touch it for performance and overall "bam". But I've now seen it isn't practical for me for the next few years. I'll still get my M3, just not now. Thanks to the guys with the proper sense.

Nice choice in the 535. You are obviously whipped, but at least your wife has good taste in cars.

The 3 series has terrible rear seat legroom. Good for you for choosing the 535. A fine car (with a tunable engine I might add).

People's comments re: manhood - just ignorant. Different priorities and different tastes for everyone.

I see that I have struck many nerve endings with my post.... Good.... I like to take extreme positions and I am glad you made a decision either way....albiet wrong but you made a decision.

BTW, wouldn't your wife want a Texas Cadillac? I.e. Suburban, Escalade, QX45?

535 is a sweet car, you'll be happy with it. But... 28! You still are a tad young for a 5'er. Enjoy it though.
