Agree. I use them all the time in winter. Becomes habit to move my hand from the start button, flick the heated seat button and then select drive.

Toasty. and do relax the old back.

I'm sold on them.

Heated seats are wonderful and an absolute must for me. If you do long journeys you might also want to consider lumbar support as well - if I feel my back beginning to stiffen after and hour or so, I just give the support a tweak and my back eases within seconds.

I would NEVER consider an E9x without them after having had them...

Many E92s I looked at were immediately crossed off the list for missing the option.

do it. It will really help come resale. Almost as much as pro nav I'd say! For the price.. 350 or so? It's well worth it.

I am in the love them brigade. Apart from being toasty warm on a cold day after footy or running odes wonders for your back. Just a pity there is no massage option. As someone said earlier cooled / ventilated seats would be good too.

Suppose they are a nice to have, but the worst bit about leather seats in the winter is when you first sit on them. That'll be the same whether you have bum warmers or not unless you turn the car on before you get in.....

I don't have them, and the seat warms up in a matter of 30 seconds or so once I'm on it.

I'd say go for them if you can afford them, but if it's that or a sound upgrade for example, I'd go for the hifi.

Deffo heated seats if you have leather. As said above for me - I wouldnt buy a car that had leather without them.

Although I find you dont need them on too long this time of the year - only about 1 min to take the chill off if you feel the need. In the winter leave em on.
The BMW heated seats are very good as you get heat through in seconds. Unlike my mates Insignia.

Seems funny the E9x never had the option for rear heated seats. Maybe its something we will see in the F30......

One of the good things about the Saab was that the heated seats came on automatically if the temperature dropped below a certain level.

With a manual override?

I only ever want them on for the first few minutes until the seat is as warm as my arse - I don't like to drive whilst cooking.

Oh yes. It was a setting in the driver options. Enabled or disabled. And you could always just push the button to turn them off. It seemed to be linked in to the seat belt sensor in that if no one was sat in the seat then they wouldn't come on ie passenger seat empty.

Heated seats a must have?
You're having a laugh?
Yes I can fully understand if you have a back problem and the heat helps but other than that man up and save your money for something useful in the real world.

Surely by the time the seats have warmed up the leather is warm from your body heat? I've had them before, and haven't bothered including them on the new order

They heat up in less than 30 sec and, faced by an early onset of winter this morning, I was particularly glad to have them.
