The big news here is that this is the first real app that doesn't require a owners cellphone to be hosting the app like in the past.
Although BMW have dabbled with this before with the apps available in BMW online and bmw live ... They were so trivial they weren't worth the effort. |

Like who is using napster these days? I remember when it was a alternative to limewire back in middle school. Why not iTunes? This is a step down

I don't know what all the fuss here is about. Napster (now owned by rhapsody) is a music steaming service just like spotify. Having used both napster and spotify, it is excellent in fact I actually prefer napster's user interface.
Having the option to be able to stream music through connected drive is great. This is not a backward step or going back in time at all.
