So much hate towards magnaflow I love the sound of my cheap universal magnaflow. Danny have Russ throw on a resonator. A buddy of mine put on an ar-25 on his exhaust (they're around $40) and he said it got rid of all the rasp

Yeah, sounds like my car just not as loud but that's a limitation of the mic I imagine. Second video sounds just like my car at startup.

the first 1-3 seconds in that last video sound great, but then the rattle comes in without a resonator.

Sounds perfect to me, what an I6 should sound like and always used to until the advent of idiotic emissions control crap. Why rasp-n-rattle bother some is a mystery to me but I'm old so there's that...

well one you can smell it from the moment you turn it on and also they guys at the shop said it was running rich and there obi tool told them that from what they said.
i have the aa off road tune and i yet to have it run right since i installed the headers 2 weeks ago its really starting to piss me off i can actually hear my o2 sensor loosening its self cuz they can't get a tool in there to tighten it cuz its way to tight to get any wrenches in there |

When i first went to catless headers with a fresh offroad tune i had some weird idle stumbling when sitting in traffic. After a few thousand miles things sorted themselves out and no more strange idling.

as for the smell its not a high rpms its high or low or idle its seriously bad. I'm cool with it as long as i can fix the problem with the o2 and the tune. |

Slap those resonators back on. It helped with mine. It fixed most of my rasp.

The RPM issue should work itself out as the DME adjusts itself over time. When the weird idle drops would happen i'd just raise the RPM to 1000 for a few seconds and it would usually cure it for a bit. Not really sure why it happened, but i know my DME was a bit confused so to speak since i had mixed up secondary o2's for a while until i corrected it.
I also put my stock resonator back on to take out some of the rasp when i went to catless headers, it smoothed out the note a lot especially down low.
