When I finally found mine, I had it shipped from San Diego to Maryland. I'm sure that I paid more than I should have however, in the spirit of supply and demand, I guess it was worth the expense. If MPG is an indication of the absence of CBU, then mine must be good to go. I drive an hour one way to the office every morning (the reason I opted for the 335d), and can easily achieve 40mpg at 80mph. The photo below was taken after 40 minutes at highway speeds. Not bad. My 335d was treated to California diesel for the first 48,000 miles; their cetane numbers are higher than elsewhere in the US, yes? I wonder if the California 335d cars are less prone to CBU issues.

Another D
Nice to know there are more 335d lovers in town. I just bought my 2011 335d Sport (Non- M) a couple weeks ago. It had 46K on it when I got it. Now at 48.5K, and is at BMW for an SES and last free Oil change. BB Cuda, I will PM you as soon as I am allowed (new to this forum) because at 5oK, I will delete the EGR as you and some have in other posts. The car is in great shape and has been maintained well. I just got the service history from my SA this morning. I live in Montgomery and work near Bush AP. I love to work on my own machines so seeing all the great stuff in this forum is great.

That is amazing MPG! I just drove a 2100 mile round trip for vacation and averaged 33. The service history shows a intake manifold cleaning at 35K but 33 seems low compared to 42. If I reset the trip comp while on the highway, it shows 40 something.
I plan to do the EGR delete and meth injection soon since it was not CPO and I don't plan to buy an extended warranty. Those 2 should prevent future build up and clean any CBU while improving performance. Thoughts?? |

just picked my D up yesterday, as a new owner I have one question. How do you keep this car under 90MPH? I was getting 29MPG at 90 on a 3 hour drive. So far pretty happy as my 740 would get 19 on the same trip and 13-14 in town.

It's been impossible for me with every BMW I have ever owned. Especially the d. I never get in the car without my Escort. |

I also don't leave without my escort and the escort live app running. Laser jammers would be that last bit of driver's license protection though.

335d Space Grey Metallic
Got my 335d w/M sport package back in Feb. with 44K. Now hv just over 50K. The car is a Beast on the Hwy. I added the JBD not long after I got it. Since then I've updated my Angel Eyes to bright white LED's w/Fogs to match, Painted my calipers Yellow, added an M3 rear spoiler. I'm pretty much done. Considering the malone tune later. I can't keep it below 80mph on the hwy she begs to run. No problems with her so far and I drive her like I stole her. Njoy the new ride!
