No Sir. If noise and heat weren't an issue you could run open snails and get maximum power. Backpressure is needed only on N/A engines. That's why you see those 7 second drag queens running a 6" open pipe straight out of the fender.

Magnaflow has many different single exhaust cans you could try to put on there for like $75 each.

I'm, pretty sure its 2.5 or 3.

Single mufflers? I dont have to put both back on? hmm

It's about a 30 out of 10. It is ridiculously loud. I scared the crap out of a Camaro 2SS lmao. Several cops made U turns for me but I saw them and just got away before they knew whats going on

I hope its all in my head. It doesnt help that its been raining the past week though. I cant fully compare it. I keep losing traction lol

i had muffler delete on my car for a while and i compared it with a friend of mine who had the eisenmann race muffler. they sounded very similar, with the muffler delete being about 20% louder. if you're looking for something quieter i wouldn't go with the eisenmann race lol.

and can someone explain to me why you would lose power with the OP's set up? i thought force induced cars actually gain power with less back pressure?

Anyone know the part number for these mufflers? I think its 14817; but the 14817 doesnt have correct spacing between the muffler and the tip

You're right he didn't lose any power, the rain is making him think differently

Our cars are faster than 99% of the cars you see with aftermarket exhausts.

Go with something quiet under normal conditions but screams up top, trust me. Cops won't be looking for you and when they aren't around you can have a little fun!

What you are describing as loud is probably the immense RASP sound that you get when you eliminate the mufflers...I went catless and my exhaust was loud as hell also and the rasp added to the loudness....As for loss of power its really all in your head because there is NO WAY on a FI this would occur....With a N/A there will probably be some loss as the exhaust needs some backpressure...I am 100% sure you attribute the loudness of the exhaust which is the RASP or farting CIVIC sound coming from your exhaust when you floor it...I dealt with this shit and couldnt stand it so I tuned my exhaust with some resonators, but I am not sure resonators in your case will work since you deleted the mufflers....Just go out and either weld back on the mufflers or go get a cat back with resonators built into the midpipes...
