Is there a difference to what can be coded on the 07 kline e92? Is that black X under the 2007 column in OP's google doc represent what doesnt work for 2007s?

any side-effects of doing these coding options...?
Hi all
Am thinking of getting someone to do my first few coding changes on my 2009 E90 LCI. Please let me know if there are any disadvantages (eg unexpected side-effects!) from doing the following coding: - disable Idrive warning - disable seat-belt chime - cluster illuminated at all times - disable little amber light in headlight unit (xenon) And is there a way to have a cruise-control active light on? thanks! Hi guys,
I have been using NCS Expert in the past with no problems with Win 7 in XP compatibility mode. I have now installed Win 10 (big mistake...!) just tried running NCS again, also in XP 2 and 3 compatibility mode but still errors whenever it tries to read the data from EDIABAS data server, it comes up with Initiating errors, and Sys key errors. Anyone else tried NCS with Win 10 either in compatibility mode or not. Also have changed EDIABAS to compatibility mode as well with same result. Any thoughts welcome. Cheers |

Go to a site like BMWcoders dot com or BMW coding dot com. There are step by step tutorials. You need to type the addresses in with no spaces. Last edited by Ti317; 08-27-2016 at 03:14 PM.. Reason: To remove links |

I'm following this guys explanation, I'm just getting lost a little bit. I've never really done anything like this. I've gotten as far as the Command Line Syntax and that's where I'm lost

So far I've coded my '11 328i using NCS and Carly. I enabled the digital speedometer, uncorrected and enabled Bluetooth using NCS Expert, and registered the battery and enabled Angel Eyes for DRL using Carly. Carly is great for simple stuff, but INPA and NCS are the way to go for more in depth troubleshooting, IMHO.
Also coded my 2012 335i for the digital speedometer right after buying it. |

Good read here. I could not find anything that says this program will work with a bluetooth ELM. It only works with a cable correct?

BMW Group software does not support ELM327 cables, you need a K+DCAN cable.

Anyone know if you can code the car so after you enter and close the door your seat continues to move to its saved position?
Example: I unlock the car (seat does nothing), I open the door (Seat moves), I close the door(seat stops). If my gf is driving the car before me, she has the seat so far up that by the time I've opened the door and closed it the seat still isn't in 'my' position. Then I get in, start the car and press '1' on the memory seat to finish moving the seat. Make sense? lol

Nettodat Coding not working
So I have a 2011 E90 with xenon lamps and AEs
I wanted to increase the AE brightness, and I read/was told that I would have to code via nettodat to achieve that. I got the nettodat.trc for my NFRM module using the NCS-Expert. Then in NCS Dummy the hex values for PWM_SL_1_FKT_BL_TFL & PWM_SL_1_FKT_SL_TFL were set to custom value 0C,2C and create the nettodat.man file (A compare shows the change correctly) Then back to NCS-Expert, coapiCodeSgByNettoData as the basic function (supplying nettodat.man as the value for the Nettodatenliste parameter) The jobname was kept as SG_CODIEREN while executing the job, which completed successfully. However, when I read back the NFRM module to confirm the changes, the nettodat.trc file shows the old values. What could I be doing wrong ?? I've used different NCS Expert profiles and the result is the same. |

Hi all,
Am thinking of getting someone to do my first few coding changes on my BMW e90 LCI (2011, small iDrive, light sensor) using the NCS expert to do the following bellow Now on Auto mode and DRL on my car is like a “Christmas tree” even it is light outside: AE on, low beam on, all interior lights are on (clusters, AC panel...etc) also rear lights are on...and so the light sensor is useless (the light are always on) 1. DRL (activated form iDrive and lights in Auto mode): • DRL on and daylight outside: Light only AE (on high brightness) + fog light....without interior or rear light • DRL on with poor light or night outside: turn on low beam, AE (normal brightness), interior and rear light also on, fog light off 2. Light sensor sensibility • I found on the internet that can be adjust from iDrive (did anybody try it?) In KOMBI module: MMI_ENA_PIA --> aktiv MMI_ENA_RPA_RDC --> aktiv LICHT_AUT_WERT_1 --> aktiv LICHT_AUT_WERT_2 --> aktiv LICHT_AUT_WERT_3 --> aktiv 3. Cornering light using fog light • There is any possibility to code the car in order to turn on the fog lights (left/right) – The car doesn’t have xenon or adaptive low/high beams Can you help me the rights code or other information? Thank you in advance |

I have INPA, the BMW Coding Tool, and NCS-Expert installed. I've confirmed using INPA that the cable works with my car. However, in NCS I only see the default profile option. What have I done wrong? NCS is also all in German but I could deal with that I think. Thanks for any advice.
