Well since they tested it on a dynapack I'd compare it to procede vs 1.4 since when I went to Church Automotive on their dynopack a stock 335 mad like 300whp/339wtq on their dynapack and with my procede v1.4 I made 342whp/406wtq so these numbers aren't really anything to be excited about I'd love to see teh Mustang Dyno numbers though. |

true! I know different dynos read higher/lower than others, but i have NEVER seen any dyno ,other than this one, showing a stock 335i produce 296whp. Maybe im wrong, if i am, i will stand corrected

I wish I could have this software flashed on my ecu for a couple days to test it out on the same dyno as I did with all of the other tuners. It would also be nice to get a completely objective point of view regarding the drivability.
How about a trial flash?

I don't have a problem with $2000 for the tune with warranty intact. Not to mention it adjusts water pump flow rate (if this is really important, I don't have a clue). The problem is the best numbers were with exhaust, which we don't know the price yet. Also, $2000 for an oil cooler.. HOLY CRAP! There's no install with that yet either... so $2700. Those of us who have an earlier production AT sport package don't have an oil cooler.. so you're talking near $5K!!! Wow.

I think we will all know where Dinan stands when it runs against a Procede 1.47 or a SSTT.....
Agreed? Who is going to get the Dinan??

yes but the thing is, if you don't get the dinan exhaust they can void your dinan warranty

Are you serious? That would be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Sounds worse than factory warranty claims with mods.

The same people willing to spend $2000 for a moderate flash that you can't even custom tune.... will be the same people ready to dish out money for an over priced dinan exhaust too

From what I understand those of us with a manual car with the oil cooler don't need to upgrade the oil cooler (even though its recommended) quote on quote.
Secondly at 4300 RPM and 13.2 psi of boost there is a 71 rwhp horsepower gain from the Dinan software as opposed to stock. Interesting... |

Do you mean, you should go right ahead and as a welcome gift, treat them like dirt? Way to go...
The other guy just asked to refrain from sarcasm as long as the Dinan rep keeps it shiny. You can question all you want, but be civil about it. |

I'm pretty sure one of the major magazines did a dyno (of a second 335i because they couldn't belive the 1st one's high #'s) and on the last dyno attempt they got 299whp. So I'm sure it's possible.

I find the water pump remapping extremely interesting... for anyone who plans on keeping the car a little longer...
Now that I know it can be done, how about someone else providing a little waterpump piggyback to go hand in hand with the boost increase? |

some people just want the basic simple bolt ons, like a chip intake and exh...Something that dinan will offer and you wont have to worry about losing your warenty. How many people down the line will buy a used 335 if they new it had 20 different piggy back maps on it.I wouldnt want one.I could live with knowing a car had a dinan flash tho. These are going to be nice cars to pick up in a few years as cpo cars from BMW. If I was dinan I would bust everyones ballz and run a xmas special and sell them for 1500 |

I've decided to stay out of this thread; most consumers are not as dumb as some companies think. However, I guess a few ppl were right when they said that Dinan typically caters to a different consumer than most of us enthusiasts that frequent these online Forums. btw -- I'm not the only one who is questioning their dyno numbers.
