I did Lux (successfully with no damage), spacers, euro light switch etc on my own. Its no M-sport wheel swap but its a decent effort, something to be proud of

WOW, I am just so far damn behind on the gossip. Just had a very busy month. I'm glad to hear that you're okay AJ. I hope your car is returned to you soon in perfect shape. Would you guys allow this E90-less, out-of-the-loop schmo join your minimeet on SAT?

Holy crap, Truong, I saw your post so I went to look for more posts by you that would explain why you are car-less.
What is going on here? Both you and AJ in accidents since I met up with you guys just a couple of months ago? I didn't even have my car yet, and now that I do, I haven't even had the chance to show it off to any other E90post-ers. I pray my E90 doesn't catch your guys' bad mojo! In all seriousness, glad to hear you and your gf are okay, and I hope your car will be as good as new in no time. But still, I'm a little freaked out by the fact that both you guys are out of commission.

Going off the Chi-town in the morning, see you guys on the 23rd?
Btw, spoke to Al earlier. We might do a small casual meet this weekend as well to hammer out the direction of the next meet before we wheel and deal the sponsoring dealership. Its the first major step before we promote the meet. Who's in?

Frank, I was thinking (.. and you really need to watch out when I do that)... I am going to have to recalibrate where my headlights aim (especially before hitting the road on a long road trip). Do you have any creative ideas as to how I can possibly do this during the daylight hours??? Muchos gracias. |

She is back in my hands!!! The interior needs a good detailing. Unfortunately, the sunroof was open during the accident, and a good amount of dust wast kicked up into the interior. The car was decently cleaned before I got it back, but it could use some more detailing work. As of now, everything is working well, and back to normal. What was also good is that one of my 162's was badly scuffed, but was still decent enough that the shop gave the the rim for use as a spare. All I need to do is mount a tire on it and I have a 5th wheel just in case something happens to one of the others... |

Excellent! Now do you have any before and after photos? I know you were not in the mood for any "before" shots, though, so I'll understand if there are none.
I found myself admiring my own car today. Despite catching a little rain yesterday, it still looks great from the weekend wash. I know you guys took such great care of your cars, too. I would be beside myself if I got in an accident... I feel for you! Glad you are back in action, AJ.

Im glad to be back at it too... Not driving stick for over a month has me driving very carefully anyway... Let the modding begin this weekend with the euros!!! No before pics... I could not stand to take pictures of it after the accident. It was not a pretty sight. Slight body damage, the rear of the car was literally sitting on my wheels (the wheels themselves were holding the car up and not the suspension). Total bill came to $15,400 or so... billed to the other guys insurance... GOOD Now I have to clean the headliner... the tow truck guys left handprints on my headliner, and I need to find a way to clean it. Do they make mini steam cleaners?!?!?! |
