Hello everyone
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the wheels did not make the shipment on the 13th. I asked Alufelgen if the wheels shipped, and they confirmed around the 15th that they had. Over the last 10 days or so I have been trying to get the shipping documents (bill of lading) without this I couldn't clear the goods of the boat. Yesterday I received an email saying that the shipper had not shipped the pallets and the vessel was delayed The new dates are as follows, ETD: 31.5.10, ETA, 12.06.10 I now have the shipping information which will make my life allot easier as I can track the shipment Sorry guys, I know we all wanted these ASAP but unfortunatley its out of my hands Will update you all with any news as soon as I hear it. B.Rgds James |

No worries James - I had similar troubles with another US supplied group buy over on the M3post forum - they are just a nightmare to deal with and customer service is virtually nil. That GB didn't actually happen in the end as I just gave up dealing with the supplier, so all credit to you and Phil for sticking this one through.
I thought it was odd that I got an automated email last night at 22:06 from Morr Wheels saying the goods had been shipped So looking forward to receiving these as well |

It's only a couple of weeks delay so it's not too disastrous. I will be engrossed in the world cup by the time they arrive anyhow |

James is correct. We received an email last night from DBShenhker TWO WEEKS after the shipment was supposedly on board stating that they are sorry that the vessel has been delayed. This was only after chasing them FOR WEEKS after the bill of lading that James needed. We have had great service from DBS from their air freight department but their ocean department is a disaster. My deepest apologies again. I`ll stay on top of them to make sure everything goes as planned.

If it's their mistake due to shipping delay could you get Schenker to air freight them instead for the same rate, saying you need them delivered for a specific date?

To be fair to Alufelgen they did explain that DBShenker air frieght usually respond to requests quickly where as DBShenker sea freight don't. I think this is the nature of the beast for air freight vs sea frieght.
I'm itching to get my new wheels, I really am, but we do need to have some patience...........sigh. |

I have been on the phone to Schenker UK and they are tracing it for me, lets hope they find it!
I would not have suggested sea freight if it was always like this |
