The thing came with light walnut and it had to go so I had the dealer order the trim and install it. Verified the part numbers with RealOEM first.

Forgot to mention I measured ground clearance and it's just under 3-1/4", no idea if that's really low or not. The shop said they set ride height one inch higher than their race cars to make it more streetable.

Sorry, forgot to mention the dealer had to order most of the trim pieces from Germany. Not popular here any more I guess. Maybe Tischer has them but they don't list stock status on their site. Painful prices though, yikes. Still have the light walnut trim pieces for no apparent reason since I can't give 'em away, have you ever seen the satin aluminum trim come up in the for sale section?

This car was sitting on the showroom floor, they couldn't sell it cuz of the 6MT. They had the color misidentified online in the inventory listing and the image was of the wrong color as well, some kind a pale metallic steel blueish something or other. Wandered around the lot for a couple of hours trying to find it. Finally gave up and went into the showroom looking for a 6MT, found it, but had to double check the VIN cuz the color was eye popping in the afternoon light especially with that interior. Had to have it. Sheer unadulterated luck, it was the only 6MT in town.

Finally got around to setting up a BMW Garage entry, not sure I got all the mods listed from memory though. Added some more pictures there. Gotta admit it is purty. When the wheels are clean. Which is to say not very often often...

'Cept at the track where it gets dirtier'n hell...
Here's the reason I had the wheels powdercoated flat white Heaviest dusting on the passenger side indicating the DSC was responsible for the power loss during an off camber corner exit. Asymmetric dusting indicates when it's time to turn off DSC and rerun the corners to see if it was slowing the sector time. Works great but looks like crap...

This pic is of the right front which was much heavier dusted than the left front due to the DSC asymmetrically braking coming out of the left hand off camber exit from the second half of a chicane. We could feel the car chopping as if a rev limiter were cutting in and this proved it was the traction control so off it went and the corner exit indexed much faster. Normally it wouldn't look anywhere near this bad but this was kinda funny as the dust was literally caked on. The wheels do dust up fairly quickly but I haven't bothered to clean them but once although they did get cleaned a couple of times at the dealer in the wash after some work. Gotta clean them again but it's just too cold to bother. Actually it's too cold to be running R1Rs as they can crack but it's too cold to bother changing them. Bit of a problem but it's TX so it'll warm up sporadically and soon I expect. Maybe not.

Have to get a new car every five years for work and it has to be four door (dammit) and in 2011 the only choice was nothing. I dithered all year and got an extension which is how I walked into the dealership in the first week of January of 2012 and found my car on the showroom floor. Didn't want FI or a high revving V8 in a mushmobile so 328i it was. Felt like a pedal car compared to the G but in time that distinction disappeared given its vastly better handling. Just my opinion fwiw though.
