Your car looks great. Don't talk about cleaning it. Black cars are a pain to keep it clean and getting it clean. Haven't yet found a product which I like to bring the black out.

Quick update - the brakes are getting closer and closer to being fitted!
Picked up the BMW Performance discs today and left the dealer considerably lighter in the wallet! 338mm x 26mm fronts and 324mm x 22mm rears. Its interesting to see that the fronts are fully drilled / slotted whereas the rears are just perforated and slotted. Not quite sure why thats the case?! Anyway, heres some brake porn: |

In other news, last night I ordered some H&R Sport Springs, they are the versions which lower the car 35mm front and 20mm rear. (part no: 29187-2)
I'm planning to also order some Bilstein B8 Sprint dampers in the next few days to go with these springs, as I don't think they will work too well with the M Sport shocks. I considered the B12 kit, but the drop offered by the Eibach springs isn't enough to justify the cost, so I'm kind of making my own version with the H&R springs instead! The brakes will also be fitted next week now - probably Monday or Tuesday |

Its not going too well so far! They don't do one for my car, or any of the heavier diesels by the looks of things. I would have gone with Sportline if they did a kit off the shelf. |

Oh bugger sorry I didn't read it properly!
I had H&R on my old RS4. I can post a pic of that but doubt it would help lol I've had H&R springs on various Audi's over the years, they all lowered the car perfectly but I'd say they were a bit bouncy on standard shocks. Not sure how they would be with M Sport ones. Personally I'd fit them first and see how they go, then upgrade the shocks if needed |

The B8 Sprint dampers arent too pricey if needs be at £420 delivered from Germany and the H&R Sport Springs only cost me £135 from Germany So worst case I'll be looking at £555 for a complete suspension refresh with a decent pedigree! |

Ordered a full set of Bilstein B8 Sprint dampers today, so hopefully get them early next week & get them fitted with the H&R springs at the same time as the brakes.
Can't wait to get all the handling bits on the car, then it's remap time! |

christ your not hanging about lol cars looking great bud. Are the subs under the seats your fitting upgrades? mine has subs under the seats but i dont have any tweeters on front door bits at the window! I read somewhere that early cars had the 11 speaker system then they stopped fitting it, do you know if this is correct?

It was an option.
There are three levels of sound system, Base, Hifi and Top. Base doesnt have tweeters and has smaller subs. Theres a thread in the audio forum that details the differences between the three |

I try to get my car projects done sharpish, so I can fully enjoy my cars! I wasn't meant to be spending money this time around though! I see the question about the audio has been answered, but the subs are Logic7's, not the standard ones, as I've removed those! |

I will be very interested to see the drop once its settled and read your report on the harshness of the H&Rs. There are so many reports on the harshness on them compared to the Eibachs (The cars I have been in I'd have to agree).
How come the 180 degree on the coilovers decision? |

Lots of people seem to fit springs with stock shocks and then wonder why their ride quality has gone to pieces! lol I personally haven't had any experience with H&R's either, so will be good to see what they are like. If the worst comes to the worst, I have the option of changing the springs, but I really cant see them being any worse than a coilover set up! Reason for the U-turn on the coils was that I know myself too well and once I had coils I would always want the car just that little bit lower, then a little lower again..... and then before I know it, the car would be no longer able to function as a family friendly touring! The whole point of me getting rid of my F56 MINI was to give us more practicality as a family |

I'll ask another question, how come H&R over Eibach, considering the quoted drops are the same front>rear? |

They also don't look to achieve any kind of drop when you look at fitted pictures. Whereas the H&R's on the pics I've seen actually seem to lower the car |
