No doubt!! The 75-degree air temp where the ship is, is a lot nicer than the 54 degrees when they left Southampton!
Hey, don't know if you're a Jazz fan but congrats on the win over Golden State tonight, they just won 112-116!!

ahem, no jazz love on this board. or, whatever, its irrelevant b/c neither team can take the heat from the sun(s)! i dont suspect, frag, you will disagree.
meanwhile, have you all been reading the many insane posts about bmw production woes. no more convertibles or coupes till fall! it could all be very sensational and unfounded, but tell me you are not glad you got your order in when you did. i have a shameful case of schadenfreude. lastly, tragedy on cinco de mayo weekend. co-worker 1 took delivery of her convertible and a day later -- dude runs into it. co-worker 2 has been driving his 335 coupe for a few months now -- several dudes in an escalade (the horror of the size mis-match...) run into it. conclusion: if you live in southern california, do not drive on cinco de mayo weekend. perhaps on any holiday weekend....and this is why i should lease and not buy, im already afraid to have the thing!!! |

Why the dip Southeast?
On the latest map? I think they're messing with us now. Do they not know the fastest way between two points is a STRAIGHT line?

hahaha I have disliked the Jazz for a long, long time. Could not stand Malone the baby. Nah they are ok now that they have gotten rid of some players, but I still dont watch them. Got better things to do, such as, look for goodies for my new car, play some golf :rocks: and hang out with my kids and wifey. It would be nice to see them when a championship one year though.... right SG

Well I don't have any definite information, but if you look at the WW ship which is ahead of Carmen, the Turandot, it stopped reporting on May 2, before it docked in Brunswick, Georgia. It then set sail for the Panama Canal and Port Hueneme. It's already been through the Panama Canal and is due in PH on May 15, a week from today.
I wouldn't be surprised if Carmen doesn't report again. Those assholes at WW must be telling their ships to stop reporting shortly before they get to the Panama Canal. Oh, and those assholes at WW don't answer inquiries submitted via their website, so they can KISS MY ASS. I don't care if they are reporting voluntarily. That's not the point.

Wow...
I go out of town on business...and look at all this. Congrats on the halfway point Carmen people! Some stupid storm in Dallas caused us to have to land in Shreveport, LA to refuel (we were circling for clearance to land and started running low on fuel). Missed our connection and got in at 2am this morning I go in to sign my papers for my ED tomorrow, hopefully he has my ipod/usb cable so i can take it on our trip! |

WTF?
Ok, this is rediculous. It looks like the ship was hijacked and is now in Columbia on a river or something. Maybe they made a data entry typo when the reported the ship's position? Hope they get that sorted out...
The ship should be at the Panama Canal by 11:00am PST. It's just about time for everyone to start watching the Panama Canal webcams and try to catch the ship going through...

The Gatun locks are at the north end of the canal, so they are first. There is a pretty cool item on Wikipidia on the Panama Canal including a diagram of the entire canal you can click on.

Carmen has departed the Panama Canal
Well, despite the fact that the ship's location on sailwx.info shows about 70 miles inland in Columbia (morons), it has actually transitioned and departed the Panama Canal according to the WW website:
10 more days to Port Hueneme!!!
