I would rather pay Shiv an update price to download new maps that actually had been tested with my DME version than pay the dealer to update my DME. It isn't the money that is the issue, it is the time and hassle of removing/installing the tune and dealing with the dealer to get the update I don't like.

i would follow bmw's updates -
also recently procede's map 8-8 with the firmware version 5 update. u turn the map to 0 and u should be able to update without removing the hardware. i would get the update - beneficial if u have a tune.

I've always had the newest DME (2.44)...and no boost leaks..autotunes to 14.+ no issues. but, remember, i don't have any other mods outside of a drop-in

Na. Expect a report sometime this or next week. No use on an update unless there is inventory to sell

hard to know forsure, turn off dsc and if you have a 3 series drifting on your dash than you have it. or have key fob read at the dealer. you dont need to worry unless your tuned

TGIF bump.
So is there any documentation about the revisions that have been made to the firmware and maps? I was trying to explore what features are available and got thoroughly confused. There is some user-compiled documentation in a sticky over in the N54 forum, but it hasn't been updated, nor does it seem to clearly separate the features of the N54 and N55 versions. |

Now you say 3 series drifting on my dash....I have a car that pops up that says DSC off and it has 2 lines like this ~ except facing vertically coming off the ass end of the car like its doing a burn out/drifting I guess?
