Regarding housing - absolutely stay away from Norristown. I can see it from my bedroom window and go there often (out of necessity only). It's not a place I care to even drive my care through. Ghetto-ish.
Conshohocken is a decent area, but as Ben noted make sure you have off-street parking. Some of the streets are pretty wide so it wouldn't be terrible, but ... I just hate the idea of people driving their cars past mine all the time. Constant risk.

the places i mentioned all have off-street parking.. trust me.. you DO NOT want to park your car within KOP area during winter... people slips, car slips... you just dont!

Stay in Wayne (most of the the Wayne, but not around Lancaster Ave), KOP (the part where it is closer to KOP mall), Valley Forge, Devon area..

I own a house in Chesterbrook, I'd say try Chesterbook. Not sure what the deals are, but there are many for rent I think, for a nice 2 BR, 1 Bath, should be around $1100 - 1300 at most.. very nice area with all off-street parking or right in front of your apt.

yeah i wanna stay by KOP mall thats why im moving there i will be managing a couple stores in that mall so i need a good 2 bedroom place around there no ghetto please thats why im leaveing NY looking at 1000-1300

Is that inclusive of utilities? If not, you can find a nice Chesterbrook apartment, 2 BR, at around $1200-1300

Highly recommend and you will NOT be disappointed. It is also literally less than 5 min drive to the mall, regardless of the traffic!

Note: Tilted Kilt is actually open now. Soft opening was yesterday and continues today. "Grand Opening" wednesday might be nuts, who knows. either way it's totally open for real this time (unlike last time we tried to go there)

Further note: apparently parking blows though. They only had valet last night (my friend went) and apparently it might be like that for a while. Hmm...guess I could always load the valet map....

UPDATE: apparently across the (somewhat treacherous) road there is a great corner mall parking lot that is appropriate for meets. screw valet.

What about Rock Bottom - that was our traditional meet spot. Might be fitting to have the farewall there.
