Have you driven it around some more? Still the same flatspots and hesitation?

I guess the next step is to put the factory airbox back in and see if that solves your problem.

How long does it take the air sensor to adjust anyway really? You would think these things adjust fuel curve on the fly at this point.

I have heard before that certain combinations of exhaust and air intake actually decrease hp because of a loss of backpressure .. or something like that.

Here is what Fujia had to say about the matter---

Questions to ask yourself:
1. Both cars empty, 1 driver, passengers, trunk storage?
2. How many gallons of gas did you have vs. the person that beat you?
3. Are you automatic or manual?
4. Was the car that KILLED you automatic or manual?
5. How much do you weigh? the other person?
6. Were you in manual shift? Was he?
7. Was the other person a better driver or drove at higher RPMs?

Lots of questions to answer before we would take any additional steps. Think about what you are asking (demanding). Did you give Fujita any funds directly? If you had a problem with a Polo shirt you bought at Macy's and you were not happy, are you going to ask Ralph Lauren for a refund? OR would you go to Macy's and see what can be done? We did not sell you anything directly.
Lots of people are very satisfied.

In order to get things done, you don't demand or threat. You discuss and come to a solution. I would think a person in your income level would know and practice this. You can threaten us to post on the forums that you lost to a stock car. That does not make us a bad company. We have invested heavily to ensure our parts make power on the dyno. I will trust scientific proof on a Dynojet before you saying you lost without any controlled perameters. You would have had a better chance calling or writing to talk with us about your experience rather than demand and threaten.

1,2. I had nothing in my trunk and less than 1/4 tank and a 120lb passenger whie he had half a tank and a 200 lb passenger
3, 4. Both were manual
5.I weigh 180 and my passenger weighed 120, he weighed 150 and his passenger weighed 200
6. We tried all the modes but did not actually manualy shift
7. Since it was a "drag" race driver skill did not come into play

i have driven the car around a little more, my car is a 325 in manual...and hunter is in auto..so its not about the car...in 2nd gear, it flatspots from 3k to 4k then from there it starts to scream but it hesitates greatly until the redline....

That response is appropriate if your inquiry to them was immature, threats of posting street racing results or whatever. So you got killed in a race with a stock 325i. Do you really think that your intake and exhaust was going to bail you out of losing situation? Just try and relax and not expect soo much from these performance products.

EDIT: Maybe something is wrong with the install? A sensor wire that needs connecting?

?

There is NO reason for me to lose like that

I wouldent mind if it was an even race, but that fact that I lost by 2 cars was reason for concern

put back your stock intake and go race again to see if you get the same result. do a couple of run and if he still beat you, than you can say its the intake

Driver skill doesn't come into play in a drag race? I think even in an auto there is something to be said for a skilled driver.

Absolutely .. before you go and condemn a product, we should see if it's actually it. Although looking more and more too much of a coincidence.

HRC, I am backing his problem...mine is clearly evident that it is the intake because i floored it before and after to maybe feel a difference. and to my disbeleive there was a HUGE noticable flatspot on 3k till 4 and random hesitations till redline from there..........and no smart answer guys, there is really something wrong and i really want it solved... with identical car and same transmissions, how hard is it to floor when someone says go? it shifts for you. so no driver skill is involved (to a certain extent, to those who want to make smart remarks..)

Who installed the intake? And have you tried putting the stock box back on to see if the intake is the culprit?

Not a smart remark -- relax.

I just happen to not agree with the assumption that driver skill plays no roll in a drag race with an automatic car.

Simply flooring some cars from the get go will cause wheel spin which will cause traction to kick in. Lots of other variables, even in an auto ...

Brake torquing, tire spin, wheel diameter - hell even the breaking in of a car will effect it in some way. There are a ton of variables in racing 2 cars, even autos dragging.

While 2 car lengths may seem like a lot, in terms of times its fractions of a second in a 1/4 mile run.
