I am installing my wavetrac this weekend (sorry to revive a old thread) but can you elaborate on this a bit more...only thing that has me confused LOL!! Do you mark it on the side so you know where each bolt originaly went?

From what I understand it only goes one way. You have 8 holes IIRC and 4 go to driveshaft and 4 to transmission. I think I read somewhere that the bolts only work in the correct holes (I think it was the HPF youtube video for a clutch install.)

That makes sense...so basically mark bolts and holes so the correct bolts go in the right holes.

From what I understand, I haven't installed mine yet. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

Hey. Your review / DYI. Convinced me to get the LSD. I'm going to contact VAC. In A few weeks to get it done. I've been talking with CJ at VAC via email. Is there a way you can fix the pictures in the post ? Please

Just ordered a Quaife LSD from VACMotorSports. Can't wait to get it installed on my 2008 335i.

Dear Former_Boosted_IS -
See you haven't posted for about 1.5 years but hoping you're still around.....first post missing many pics....can you refresh? Some photobucket pics are there; some not! I just upload mine to threads, that way it's E90POST's server that maintains 'em, not photobucket. Workin' long term. Sincerely, Waterboy |

Guilty for kicking an old thread. Cal water boy, how is that Wavetrac doing for you. I have welded diff in my 335D and am thinking of doing this. VAC warning of possibility of clunking noises within but Harold at HP Autosport says those issues are now worked out by Wavetrac.
Does anyone know if Wavetrac has adopted putting in the scrolled grooves to better lubricate the output shafts ? |
