Got my new DISAs and CCV system installed, thx for the tips and insights forum friends. colorado.e9x I ended up prying that wiring block off the bracket like you did after stripping one of the rusty T27 screws that I thought was a T25 because of all the corrosion on it, oops. I lifted the plastic lock part with a screwdriver then twisted a prybar between the bracket and block eventually it came loose.
LemansE90335xi it's all back to wearing it's cowls and covers looking stock except those afe headers peeking out from underneath.

With this I've replaced 100% of the normal wear items on this car, which in my mind rolls it back to 0 miles, or at least the closest I'll come to owning a new 330i.

I probably should have brought up the fact that those bolts at the bottom are indeed a size larger than the others in the manifold lol. Glad you got it all back together, should drive great now! Was it consuming oil before with the old system?

My heart sank a bit but it worked out, I was able to pry it off easier than I thought. Live and learn lol. I appreciate your intake insights, if you're interested in these old disas be happy to send em to you.

I don't know TBH, I drove this car about 20 miles before I bought it on a test drive, enough to see that the motor wasn't making any weird noises or smoke, other than that I knew it was an unmolested car with all original parts long, long overdue for replacement, and that was it, I've never even technically driven it anywhere as owner. I did just what I figured on doing, put it on the lift and started dismantling it. Now 4 months later it's going to be a new car to me in more ways than one.

It's heating up way more in the compressor than it was at any temp outside, and it goes up by psi boost a lot, so by the time you factor in that and the efficiency of your intercooler bringing it back down the air hitting your intake manifold has little to do with outside temps.

Looks great Jake! There are very few people that will look at that engine bay and notice the header isn't stock. I'll bet you can't wait for spring and clear roads to get out for a rip in your "new" car. Well done, fine sir.

Made it to work.. Only got stuck once where the snowplow crossed the street and left a 3' snow bank. I was able to dig out with my snow scraper (will have to upgrade to a mini shovel if this repeats). I was scraping my belly on the snow for a few hundred feet so I couldn't get a proper running start. Hope all my plastic is still in tact. Snow tires on RWD

Edit copied myself from another thread:

Funny, I just had the car up on a lift @ my indy and we found and removed a ton of ice hugging the fuel lines in the mid section.

I'm also putting together a shopping list of broken / missing brackets as I'm writing this.

If at all possible, avoid driving backwards in snow.. doubly so with sagging belly plates.

We've got a freezing rain warning here right now. I'm not going anywhere except to the basement to work on the new home theater room. It's drop-ceiling day!

Finally got my MHD OTS Stage 1 Map to install. WiFi dongle did not work, ended up using hard cables, did the trick.

Amazing added pull 2800+ RPMS. Noticed a slight hesitation and hard shift at lower RPMs though.

New auto dimming mirror glass on right side. It had gotten amber colored over the last couple of months, telling me that the seals have given up and it is on the way out. Surfed around to find the best price on a replacement. It arrived today so I popped the old one off and the new one on. Just tried it out on the way to the emergency vet office (one of the pups is not doing well).

Thx bro! You know I'm itching to get it out on the road, now I'm circling it like a buzzard finding little stuff to do on it while we're trapped here. The snow JUST melted here enough for me to walk the dog around the field without boots, and we're getting another ice storm tomorrow, yay. Sadly almost nobody is gonna see my engine bay period, and even less will see it from underneath (just my wife's cousin who has the shop w/ alignment rack) so imma take the opportunity to post a few more gratuitous pics

Just driven the E91 for the first time since Christmas Eve! It's now +10C here, over 30C warmer than last week. Started first time, bit of surface rust on the brakes which rubbed off. Tyres hadn't lost air and she drove just fine. Really needs to replace the valve cover gasket, stank of burnt oil for a bit.

Felt huge after using just my '99 RAV4 3 door for seven weeks.

Looks AMAZING! I am jealous.

Yeah, ice/sleet storm here as well (Virginia), bimmy is sitting alone in the garage waiting for dry roads.

Snows cleared out here in Chicago. It's currently 26 degrees.

I'll probably run my mom's van through the wash today. It desperately needs one

Oh wait then there's my car (lookin all clean ) and the Mercedes that no one drives

Planning my conversion to an oil catch can on my early N52. It will leave the sump oil return free and I'm planning to convert it to a dipstick tube. I'll try to graft on a dipstick from another BMW. Looking at used parts on ebay an E46 320d dipstick tube is the current front runner. Anyone else tried it?

I do remember my old Saab had the PCV system return to the Dipstick tube; Could try something similar.

I also remember seeing a kit for N54 (x-drive only) pans converting to a dipstick

I'm incredibly jealous of your 3 garage spots Mosaud1998. We have a total of 2 (my e30 and dad's e46 competition) for our 7ish cars and my parents won't let me (or my brother and I) build an aux garage on their property even if I cover the cost. Told me to get my own place but my friend and I (going in on a house) can't afford a house in the bay with more than a two-car garage (frankly we're struggling to find ANY house we can afford lol).
