WTF happened to the 8-speed auto at the last minute?

So, as far as improvements:
Paddle shifters
Split arm rest
Shifter

Debatable:
Styling

Potential Downgrades:
Engine
What else will we discover they've removed once the cars can be inspected in person?

This is the worst LCI ever IMO. Seems to be a completely pointless refresh, and maybe even a downgrade depending on how good or bad this new engine is.

Love the new M-Sport front! The new headlights look better that the spy shots lead us to believe. LED halo and tails FTW. Still... can't wait to see 'real' pics of the M-Sport.

yuck! looks like a downgrade to me.
The silver trims are little to lux for me, and for a sports coupe! The tails are nice, but other than, the older models look way better imo!
