that looks awesome! see i dont get how people say the E90 LCI headlights dont fit a pre LCI if all the parts (hood / bumper) fit your car just right. the lights should fit right in no problem.

Old thread, but I just stumbled upon it. DV your car is awesome. I am also from Michigan Grosse Pointe area. However, I have never seen your car at the shows. It is stunning. I am seriously interested in doing this. Is everything pretty much plug n' play?

Hi guys.
I am thinking about getting this 06 330i to rebuild and it looks like a good candidate for LCI upgrade. (fenders are still good on it) I got the parts list from 2nd post, but question is do I have to go with pre-LCI xenon headlights or I can get LCI xenon headlights? will they plug right in? Is there need for coding or something like that. Here is a pic of the car I am thinking about picking up. |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1190466 Part two: if you decide to do an LCI Conversion, yes the LCI Xenons plug right in and functionally work (except for the three orange leds that most people code out) anyways. That said, the headlights will throw 'bulb out' codes until it's coded out. Just keep in mind that LCI Xenons are 2-3x more expensive than pre-LCI Xenons since you will have to source ballasts, led turn signals, AHL modules, bulbs and a clean pair of housings (trust me I just found this out). Here's a link to my conversion so you can see what it looks like: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1193260 Feel free to PM me with any questions. |

Ah this old thread again. DV's car helped convince me to go with the LCI conversion. I got the hood and bumper kit from Sonic Tuning, but I don't think they still sell it anymore. I got my Xenon headlights from a member here who brought them back from Europe- Cost about $950 but I think I got a deal. I actually liked the look of the Pre-lci above the lci.
