How fast does it take the computer to adjust?

Since every dyno run I've ever seen seems to show:

Run 1: horsepower/torque
Run 2: A bit more horsepower/torque
Run 3: A but less horsepower/torque (due to heat soak)

I'm thinking of doing 2 runs, throwing in 5 gallons of E85, and then seeing what happens on run 3.

Or would this be a disaster?

The whole E85 thing still bugs me out in general to be honest. I need to do more homework on it.

That's not going to work. You really need to do 3 runs, then add your e85, go drive around for 5-10 minutes to "mix" everything up and clear all the non-e85 mixed fuel out of the system. Then, come back and do 3 more runs.

I was kind of wondering the same thing because I have eCutouts and want to see if they make any gains, but heatsoak is the contributing variable.

Run 1 = cutouts closed
Run 2 = cutous open
Run 3 = cutouts closed

Gotcha. I figured as much. I'll save the E85 for the next dyno day.

You'd think the shop would've checked it yesterday or something

Yea they aint that big on doing pre-checks...My buddy used them once, took over 2 hours just to get a baseline dyno prior to tuning.

They said that they used the dyno friday afternoon to tune a STI (it was on the dyno when we got there in the morning), so I assume that was their "pre-check"

Guess I shouldn't go on assumptions and here say anymore. But don't really matter, could have happened to any shop. Only difference is, this Dyno is from Australia, so to fix it "right" you have to use Euro type fuses.

At least they do have the dyno dynamics there so not too disappointed that it's not working.
