The people driving the mapped car's can really feel the difference that the best evidence, it does suggest that the dyno does not give the true picture for some reason.
The explanation sounds completely logical IMO |

Had a telephone conv... and I think the fandango and me are on the same page now...
Fandamentally the Dyno will not show the true change becasue of the BMW power limp mode that happens when the car realises it's on the rollers. Get the car back on the street and the car is back to full power again. Peppernick must have had his car set to dyno mode to show the full gains SJ |

Guys no point jumping on my back as if im a lepper. Its a free forum for people to express their opinions. Come we are all suprised REALLY that they didnt make the massive power WE ALL wanted them too. I even remember Beemerbird saying she thought it could be feasible hers could be 370bhp/ They still could be. If we can get Simon to map mine at motorworx and get the car into dyno mode. I could get a stock before run and after run. I think this is the way forward. Surely Tony and Ian should have known the car would need dyno mode to unlock its potential power?! Carlos

I think Carl has a point, it's a shame Simon didn't mention that the car would need to be placed into Dyno mode to show the gains, but then again he probably didn't realise he'd face the e90post grilling either
Simon how about we get you to the next Dyno day and you show us your dyno magic sounds like we could learn a lot from you SJ |

power as in BHP is not what these engines are about, they are about lbft and Evilds says 490lbft even with the nannyd map thats AMAZING for more twistv than that you need a E55AMG or an ALPINA B5 two very serious cars dont you think???

Helen's car may well be returning 370BHP, you can't know it is not. I have not heard Helen complaining that she is disappointed at Tony and my results, in fact the opposite is true. I agree with you though, please let us know when you are getting your car done by Simon, and I'll make your appt with Danny at Motorworx for you, I need to go back, I left my friggin camera there |

I cant put the car into dyno mode as I mentioned earlier, i dont have the update for the new E90. GT1 tester as far as I know cant do it either. I really dont get why you want a piece of paper saying what your is pushing out, you dont drive the piece of paper, you drive your car, if it feels faster, 0-60, 50-70 testing is faster then you have a result. If you are not happy then I revert back to stock and give you a full refund, no questions asked. Pay the Dms price of £850+vat or the 995 euros from ESS or get the same if not more power for a fraction of the price with all safety limiters in place and a map written and developed by BMW........ Looks like DMS had issues early on with the 535d, something I wasnt aware off until now. Over and out............... |

I might, and say might be able to do a full remap on the 335i soon without the need to a box. I have heard on the grape vine the encryption has been released. Just need to get my hands on it, if I can that is. |

I have absolutely no recollection of saying that my car may be returning 370 BHP, certainly not in a factual context. I am not pre-occupied with BHP figures. The torque does the talk for me with this car together with its capabilities for real world driving.
I am definately not complaining about Ian's and Tony's dyno results, they have both confirmed to me that they are happy with the cars performance post re-map. Though not an expert by any means, I believe my understanding of how the re-map works and how the car DOES now perform is sufficient. Simon, for me personally, has further explained in detail the re-map in relation to dyno figures etc. Anyone else tired? |

Only from waiting for the penny to very, very slowly drop (glatial pace) for someone Teetering, but still not sure it has started its freeflight stage.
But thanks to the feedback from actual owners who have had it done and Simon's insight I am now more knowledgable on the whole process. Thanks guys. If I was in the UK ..... D.
