i have a question. for those who use ijet, can you still use the monster low profile charger when the ijet is plugged in?

Has anyone compared side by side the Scosche IPNRFC vs. the ABT IJET V2 wireless remotes ? I'd like to hear some additional feedback if you've had a chance to play with either or both.

Do you get the same functions with both ? Not sure if Ijet has playlist/shuffle controls.

I'm interested in reviews for the above two remotes as well. Also, anyone try the Harman/Kardon Drive + Play? There's also a Drive + Play 2 that's supposed to come out soon. Looks like the AirClick has been discontinued.

My crappy 2 yr old Creative Zen Touch's battery is finally dying on me so I'm looking to go with a refurbed 5g 80gb ipod ($279, yes I need all that *******.

I was initially set on getting the MOST IPOD adapter, but it looks like a pain with half-assed integration, scrolling times, max of 255 artists, screwed up shuffle, and dealer installation rip offs.

Having it in the center console with the Monster adapter and using a wireless remote attached to the steering wheel or the e-brake sounds like an acceptable solution.

Just thought that you should check this out for a neat ipod solution. I use the recomended Monster iCharger low profile ipod unit and instead of a fixed length 3.5mm lead this:

The end connectors are low profile and don't get in the way and the whole unit sits nicely inside the coil of the monster lead. Quality is good to acceptable.

i'll be using it for my black ipod nano. i'm not worried about charging/battery life at all so i think this is the best/easiest way to go for me, personally.

i will update you all on the quality of the product and sound when i use it on my car. i won't get my car for another 2 weeks though.

Thanks for the post, I purchased the monster low profile cable and the 3.5mm patch cable. Everything works great. I have a question though. In this post, it mentioned that when the car is turned off, the IPOD will be turned OFF in pause mode. However, mine didn't do that, it just stayed in paused mode. Is there any setting I need to set in IPOD in order for it to turn off when the car is turned off? Or If i wait long enough, IPOD will turn off itself?

Please advise.

This may be a stupid thought...but could someone just buy a chord or something and self install the same thing that the dealership would install for 500-600? I had a chord for my old alpine head unit that converted the disc changer input into an ipod hookup. Maybe there's a cheaper way to still have the dealership quality product for much cheaper?

If not, after reading this whole thread, I'm thinking the original post is the best option still (excluding the expensive, but awesome Drive + Play 2).

I have my ipod connected via the built in usb and it works great BUT does not play tracks that were purchased from itunes, it only plays tracks burnt off a cd. Any ideas?

I think you need a cable that plugs into the aux input from the headphone socket as well..something to do with protecting the DRM

I placed an order for the charger from the Monster Cable outlet site (before I saw the $6 one in Ebay ), but never received a confirmation message. I tried calling, but their number is alway busy.

I have the same setup, they showed up today and look great! I also bought a Monster remote control ($25 close-out at the local mall) and have it strapped to the e-brake. It looks very integrated.

I now have a problem however: neither the Monster charger nor the remote plug-in has a pass-through. Anyone knows a good charger that does? I really like the remote and want to keep it, but can live with a different charger.

Also, to alexWS6: the USB slot is under the armrest, but only if you have the IPOD option. Otherwise you only get a Aux outlet.

has anyone tried hooking up their phone to the 6fl adapter and using an onboard memory card as a source. I plan on adding a 4gb or 8gb card to my sprint mogul to use for music anyway... it would be great to plug it in to charge, allow the bluetooth to work for the phone in the car, and access the memory card for music... I found a little program that allows any windows mobile device to be accessed as a usb drive... but no way to see if it works. Anyone else try this?

I just bought a cable on Ebay that seems like the monster cable/3.5mm cable option everyone is using but built into one cable. I should be receiving it this week, I'll let you know how it works. I like this one because I have one cable coming out of my armrest instead of two.

That looks like an interesting cable arrangement.

I can not tell by looking at the picture but that power plug that goes into the power inside the console may be too tall and will prevent the armrest from closing. You might want to check the return policy just in case....
