DLS UP4 Speakers

Has anyone use DLS UP4 Ultimate Series 2 way 4" speakers to replace the BMW's basic speakers? Do they fit and how do they sound?

Thanks

In the Sedan, no. In the Coupe/Convertible they need custom mounts.

I posted a C5 install thread in a Coupe as well.

Are these your ultimate choice of components Tech? I love hearing your opinions on things, especially as I am trying to decide on what to use myself.

If price no object, Morel Hybrid Ovation II. Otherwise, the C5/C2 combo are very effective for the price. To me they are the real replacement for the old DLS R4...

Technic, Thanks for your help. I think I am getting this iron out. After review over JL site I want to use the following for the front speaker set up
As you suggest:
Tweeter: C2-075,
Mid : C5-400 cm
I would like to use JL's crossover C5-653-XO, I looked at the manual for the crossover and it said I can connect a sub to it. I notice that JL's sup C5-650 is to deep 2.44" (62mm). I want to use earthquake's SWS 8 because this would satisfied the depth issue. Do you think I would have any issues using earthquakes SWS 8?

I still have to get JL's cleansweep and JL's XD400/4 channel amp. And your four channel wire harness. This might come within my < 1000.00 budget..

Now if it would stop snowing and the temperature would come above freezing, I would be able to start working on the car.
Thanks for your help

Hi technic,

Will the JL C5/C2 also fit the F30 sedan?
